They Can't Leave Fast Enough...

No. No he doesn't.  As i said in another thread, dozens and dozens of the folks who entered the capitol have been arrested with more arrests coming.  The internet being what it is, every tweet, FB post, website and gosh knows what else that each arrested person was associated with has been found.  Neighbours and co-workers interviewed.  The scrutiny is deep and merciless.

And no 'left/lib/antifa/democrat' person has been found to have taken any part in the capitol entry event.

A busload?  Complete fantasy.  They. Would. Have. Been. Outed.

And there has been no 'outing'...

Every year at Okie Tex the menu features "Chicken Fried Steak".  It isn't chicken.

In Georgia all soft drinks are called "Coke"..  "Wanna coke?"  "Yes, please"  "What kind?"  "Root Beer, please."

Regionalisms, accents, vowel shifts etc. are a fascinating study...

Mr. Davis:  The irony of you fools on the left.  First of all it wasn't a typo for which the prick from Michigan was attacking Steve, it was for his use of words.

Of course this is how it always goes with the leftists here;  one of your team members on the left acts like a little prick, making fun of the way one of us on the right speaks (hamburger sandwich), and he puts his foot in his mouth (again).

Then all the lefties here rush to the defense of the little prick from Michigan because that's the way drones in a hive act.  The pheromones are released.

Then virtually All of them pretty much get it wrong as well.

Just another day on Astromart!  LOL

Wrath attracted anyway....

Former Republican officials float possibility of forming 'center-right' party

Posted By David Cotterell

Well, the R party seems destined to split in two...  Which will ensure Democrat victories in 2022 and 2024 and beyond.. (President AOC in 2032?........)  I've seen  talk of the Lincoln Project 'wing' of the Republicans perhaps going on their own... Or the far right Trumpers going on their own.... who will keep the name 'Republican' and who will have to find a new name?

The "First Past the Post" voting system is never kind to 3rd parties - they just become spoilers... we have had that here in Canada for decades - the Conservative and Liberal parties sort of alternate governments with the NDP flailing around in 3rd place pretty much permanently....

Real life happy day yesterday Off Topic

As someone who calls himself a percussionist, with over 40 years of experience playing in Community symphony orchestras, I can truly recognize the level of musicianship to get a doctorate in music.   I couldn't play that piece if I did nothing but practice it for 10 years...

You can be justifiably proud, Jim.

Ted Cruz vacations in Cancun while his state freezes in the dark...

Posted By David Cotterell

Ahhhh, nobody made fun of my use of french.  So no worries there...at least not by me.  C'est rien.

As for Cruz:

His intention is what speaks volumes.  Unlike many less fortunate Texans he was able to get his family out of the cold for a few days.  He intended to be with them until the weather warmed up.  He clearly and publicly stated that.

He changed his mind and returned after only 12 hours when he, presumably, got tired of hearing people say, "Why are you leaving? You are our Senator! Show some leadership!" and "Oh, so YOU get to go somewhere warm with your whole family while the rest of us huddle under blankets in our living room with no water and eating gas station sandwiches...."

What an astonishingly poor decision by someone who fancies himself presidential material in 2024..
