Execution, Obama style

Posted By Mike Strieber

This thread is rediculous. I have an idea, how about we wait until this guy prosecutes a successful attack on the US then we go after him? Would you have questioned the execution of Tim McVeigh if we had strong suspicion he was going to attack a federal building in OK because he was a US citizen? I can think of a couple hundred Americans at least who would have supported that decision, unfortunately they're not around to support this one. A terrorist is a terrorist fellas, be he from Yemem or New Hampshire.

And this from a group who's majority supported an invasion of Iraq on "suspicion" and will start a thread tomorrow claiming Obama is soft on terror. Is this a thread about conviction or politics? If it's politics and only a bad order because Obama gave it, that's rediculous, sorry. If it's about conviction, well that's just as bad, you're soft on terror, sorry.

Once again, sorry fellas, nail this bastard before he kills Americans. The article gave me enough information and I'm sure the government has plenty more they're not releasing. Tell me where the Predator is, I'll pump the gas for them.

"[Louisiana Governor] Jindal is still waiting for the federal government to provide millions of feet in boom and to approve an emergency permit for a state plan to dredge and build new barrier islands to keep the oil from reaching the marshes and wetlands...Jindal is so desperate for the islands, he's said he'll build them even if it sends him to jail."

"It is clear [the Obama Administration doesn't] have the resources we need to protect our coast," the Republican said. "We need more boom, more skimmers, more vacuums, more jack-up barges that are still in short supply. Let's be clear: Every day that this oil sits is one more day that more of our marsh dies."

The handling of this affair by the Obama administration is approaching criminal. They clearly have no clue what they are doing, and frankly it appears they don't even care. The leadership in the administration contradicts each other daily; they say they are on top of it but they can't tell you what they're doing; they act like the Chicago-thug tough guys ("we've got our boot on the neck of BP") but are totally reliant on BP. They sit around with their thumbs up their butt and blame everything on BP. All this while the press talks about Palin and Rand Paul.

"We've got our boot on the neck of BP" OMG, the administration looks, acts, and sounds utterly stupid. This is Obama's Katrina, if not worse and Salizar is Obama's "Brownie". This is now so far beyond incompetent that even the press won't be able to fix this for Obama.

Visiting Our Veterans

The sign ahead said, Bakersfield National Cemetery 10 miles, as the road twisted up the rocky hills. I could see the sky was a clear blue, no clouds, the visibility allowed me to see across the valley, about 45 miles away. It was a good day for a ride on the bike.

When the entrance of the cemetery appeared on the left, I slowed and pulled into the drive. There were many flags waving in the wind, lots of new construction everywhere, this was going to be a large place! I could see the rows of white headstones in the small clearing ahead, with a large live oak tree waving its limbs in the cool breeze. There was a small bench there and I pulled up to it and parked my bike and slowly strolled to the bench and sat down in the warm sunshine. I was alone here with nothing but my thoughts for company.

There were birds singing and flying around the tree, with its long limbs almost reaching the ground below it. I listened to the sound of the wind in the leaves, the birds in the tree and the crows clucking and calling as the circled above. It was a beautiful setting, one that I had always admired, way before it was donated, a fine resting place for honored veterans of war. My eyes roamed over the rows of white stones, each representing a fellow veteran who had finally slipped through deaths door and landed here in this hallowed ground.

As I watched an older man drove up and got out of his car. He looked around before beginning his walk toward the rows of stones, he looked like a man that had lost a son and was going to visit him here. A tear came to my eye as I watched him slowly make his way to the fourth row, fifth stone, where he stopped to touch it with a loving hand. He knelt before it and I could see that he was saying something, but I could not hear the words, but I did not need to, it was clear that he was praying. He stayed only a few minutes and he did not look at me as he left. The sound of his car broke the silence of the day and the birds stopped singing and flying for a moment, as if to say good-bye. The wind sighed and the tree waved and a faint cry from a crow was all that could be heard, my mind wandered again and memories filled my thoughts.

Very nice Floyd. I took the opportunity to take my girlfriend to DC, she's never been. Yesterday we watched the Rolling Thunder parade. We watched it in front of the National Archives then went inside and visited with our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. I've been to DC many times but this was a first to see these originals. I don't recall ever being so moved. If you've never been to the National Archives you are doing yourself a disservice. As well as these Charters of Freedom we saw the Magna Carta and the Emancipation Proclamation. Even the way they are displayed will make you proud, first class stuff. Seeing all this in conjunction with Memorial Day made it even more special. Today we're going to the Lincoln Memorial, Viet Nam Memorial, and the WWII memorial.

Thanks to our Vets!!!

Arizona's tough new immigration enforcement law is fueling an exodus of Hispanics from the state seven weeks before it goes into effect, according to officials and residents in the state...The Balsz Elementary School District is 75% Hispanic, and within a month of the law's passage, the parents of 70 students pulled them out of school...About 100,000 illegal immigrants left Arizona after the state passed a law in 2007 that enhanced penalties on businesses that hired them, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Some early signs suggest another exodus.

Exactly why we need comprehensive immigration reform; and why it should be addressed at the federal level. All Arizona is doing is pushing their problem onto other states. Don't think they're all going back to Mexico. It's unfortunate legal immigrants are leaving as well. Legal, law-abiding citizens should not have to live in fear of their government. An unfortunate side effect of this law; collateral damage.

The tips of the spears best be sharp...

We as a nation have made the decision that Iran with a nuclear weapon is "unacceptable"....but not worth doing anything about. We will continue to talk and talk until Iran tests a device (like No. Korea) and we will do nothing about it. If in fact Israel has the balls to strike, it will lead to a major conflict in the Middle East and we will sit on the side lines and watch Israel be destroyed. Israel now recognizes they have no friend in our president and so I personally believe they will not strike as they recognize it will lead to their destruction. It's a no-win situation for Israel since Obama has rejected them as an ally. Iran recognizes Israel no longer enjoys the friendship of the United States. We have emboldened Iran to strike. Either Israel waits on a nuclear strike by Iran or they target their nuclear facilities first and face a massive conventional assault by the entire Arab world. Either way Israel is doomed, and President Obama's attitude towards Israel has a lot to do with it.

Meanwhile, On the Republican Side

So, what's the Republican side been up to lately?
Hmm, a Bush daughter praising Obama's healthcare bill:

Are the Bush's back on an alcohol binge or what?
And, another timely inquiry regarding the most recent appearance of Sara Palin:

It's nice to know she's still home-grown.
And as for the rest of the Republicans? The usual: denying evolution, global warming, and blaming the past five thousand years on Obama...

Looks like she was talking about you Rod when she said this about your story...[Palin] attributed such chatter to "bored, idle bloggers and reporters with nothing else to talk about."

Interesting that you're not talking about how well Obama is doing with the oil spill, the economy, jobs, etc. Sounds like you're trying to divert attention from another pair of boobs in the White House.

NAACP - What a joke

This sort of thing makes my blood boil. They have the audacity to pull the race card while at the same time showing that they themselves are egregious racists who view everything through a microcosm of race and demean and vilify any African American who happens to disagree with their leftist agenda.

Here's where i first saw this:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,538799,00.html

And then from the Tea Party's own website

http://stlouisteaparty.com/2009/08/07/union-thugs-deliver-unprovoked-beating-on-black-conservative-at-carnahan-town-hall/

So this guy gets beaten up by SEIU thugs. (For all of you that hate Glenn Bleck, here's a note, he's been speaking of how bad SEIU is for months) Now, instead of the NAACP stepping in to help this guy, because he IS black after all...no, they do THIS:

http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/07/caught-on-tape-racist-naacp-leader-says-kenneth-gladney-not-black-enough-to-protect-hes-an-uncle-tom-video/

Like i said, this makes my blood boil. What's worse? Main stream media won't touch this or the Black Panther story with a ten foot pole. Talk about in the tank.

Just imagine the MSM headlines, and how quickly the NAACP would be on this if it was an African American getting beat up by a white tea party member.

I don't recall a time in my memory, which dates back to the civil rights era of the 60s, when I've seen so much racial tension in this country. This back and forth is getting out of hand and I believe the country is in a stewing pot that is about to boil over. The NAACP condemns the Tea Party as racists; the Tea Party trumps them by calling them bigots? The New Black Panther Party? Accusations of racism by the administration of all people? The left claims Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Palin with her "crosshair" map incite violence through their words yet Michele Obama encourages the NAACP to ratchet up the "intensity"; all while ignoring Black Panthers vocalization of killing "cracker babies"? Why isn't the left denouncing that? Why aren't you denouncing Olbermann who has done more to raise racial tensions in this country than any other person? The administration is doing nothing to stop the heating of the racial environment; in fact they are encouraging it. The administration blows smoke up our skirts by telling us the Tea Party is racist while it is apparent they have the most racist lawyer in America as the AG? Obama suing Arizona under the pretext of racial profiling yet turns a blind eye to Black Panthers screaming you need to kill white babies and standing in front of a polling station in black uniforms and batons? My god, where is this country going? Under Obama's leadership this nation looks more like 1860 America than 2010 America. There's no doubt this divide is being played out on both sides, but it is the left that started it with the claim of "if you don't like Obama or his policies you are a racist". That has now become the rallying cry of all Obama supporters; it has become their crutch, their excuse; it has emboldened the true racists in this country...on both sides.

Disregard the racism for a moment and take a look at the state of the nation...sorry fellas but its just freak'n depressing. Mort Zuckerman explains it well:
http://politics.usnews.com/opinion/mzuckerman/articles/2010/07/02/mort-zuckerman-obama-is-barely-treading-water.html

It was a joke at one time...the "Miss me yet?" sign. Not so much anymore. I got depressed over the state of the nation the last couple of years of Bush but my god, look at us now. It's too the point now that just looking at these politicians is repulsive. Harry Reid today: "There are no illegal immigrants working construction in Nevada". Is he a liar or just that far removed from reality? Does he think people don't notice when he says crap like that? Regardless, a liar or removed, a guy like that has no business in Congress.

Our government has a total disregard for the will of the people, from the AZ law to "healthcare reform" that 60% of Americans want repealed. Stimulus programs that failed miserably; unemployment worse now than before the stimulus, the housing market propped up with phony money just to collapse worse when the "assistance" ended; even Obama supporters have lost all confidence in him.

Sorry fellas, this country is a mess. I'm not a huge Bush fan but I must admit we are far worse off now than when Obama took office. His policies have failed miserably and we have just begun to pay the price for it. It's time to start asking... are you better off now or two-three years ago. That answer is easy for me.
