McCain opens mouth to change feet....

"McCain Vows to 'Whip' Obama's 'You Know What' in Final Debate"

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/12/mccain-vows-whip-obamas-know-final-debate/

At least he didn't say he was going to smoke Obama out of his hole or "bring it on!". My crystal ball, as cloudy as it usually is, says if McCain gets ugly during the debate with Ayers, Wright, etc., he'll lose more votes than he'll gain. Especially if its overdone.

Joe the Plumber & Infomercials....

Posted By Mike Strieber

This campaign has gone on way too long. "Joe the Plumber" press conferences? By show of hands, who really gives a crap what he has to say? Infomercials? How much Obama in my face do I have to take? I get 4-5 Obama robo-call voicemails a day now...and I have what I thought was an unlisted number. And every channel is Obama this and Obama that....including by the way....on the Dish Network "Obama Channel". Win or lose for my guy, I can't wait until it's over on Tuesday. At least the campaign part; of course a different kind of pain begins then.

Obama Eyes Democrat's "Rove"...

...Rahm Emanuel for Chief of Staff. Here we go again. Well maybe we'll just "change" some things.

I can't believe I read that entire thread. I firmly believe I'm walking away less intelligent for doing so.

October Surpriseless

Posted By Mike Strieber

What happened to all the surprises by the dreaded Republicans right before the election all you conspiracists predicted? What Bin Laden wasn't killed, no terrorist attacks, alert levels didn't go up, aliens didn't invade (space types; the other type certainly has)...?
Just curious...

Obama & The Fairness Doctrine

Posted By Mike Strieber

This is the first place I'd like to see Obama hold to his word. He clearly stated in the campaign he is not in favor of The Fairness Doctrine. However, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Durbin, etc., are clearly going to try and ram this down the American public's throat. It will be a sad day in American history if they are successful. There are no ambiguities involved when it comes to the government's manipulation of free speech. If in fact it passes, we should all be asking "what's next?" I’d like to hear a point of view from someone who would support such draconian measures.

Remember about three weeks ago...

Posted By Mike Strieber

...there was a discussion here where many were loosely implying Palin getting booed at a Philadelphia hockey game was some sort of vindication of their views of her? Sports fans, especially those familiar with Philly crowds knew just how meaningless that moment was. This article suggests the same...

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/11/10/biden-booed-at-eagles-giants-game/

The article goes on to make even a better point that Philly is a strong Democratic city and to further it with the fact that Biden is from PA. Is there any meaning in all this? No; other than the fact the Philly sports crowds remain a tough bunch. grin

Franken is desperate...

Posted By Mike Strieber

This ballot is being challenged by Franken... Where exactly is the ambiguity in this voter's intent? Perhaps I'm a bit biased but the thought of Pelosi, Reid, Frank......and Franken in Washington simultaneously is perhaps my worst nightmare. Besides, I've seen pretty much nothing but Republican bashing going on here since the election ended. wink

Question for Rod...

Posted By Mike Strieber

Rod,
I know you post on a semi-frequent basis about water related issues throughout the world and more specically in California. I don't monitor this subject closely myself but saw this interesting article. Any comments on this...do you know of this woman? Of course anyone else can weigh-in also.
Thanks,
Mike
