SV Nighthawk NG or Orion ED 80

Posted By Jack Bruneau

Thanks Phil,

Yes, I didn't think there was any contest with regard to mechanics or fit and finish. The SV wins that hands down. I just wasn't sure if the NHNG used the same glass, is it the FPL 53, that the Synta scopes are using. I'm pleased to hear that the optics are similar. Thanks, Jack

Best Science Fiction Book or TV Series

Star Trek was certainly a great and influential TV series. Also, I enjoyed The Invader's, from the early 70's.

I'd like to see Yuri continue the TEC 6 Mak. That was a great scope.

What is this snake?

It might be a kingsnake. If the red borders to yellow, it could be a poison coral snake. Just a guess from my days as a boy scout.

You should note the kills on the front fender, like the old fighter pilots did. You'll soon be an Ace!

Less than a RAVE review "Pending"

My understanding is that if there is no transaction completed then no rating is appropriate. The guy probably needed the cash quickly. You should set up for pay pal.

Scope on a PartaMount

Posted By Jack Bruneau

I have a Stellarvue 80 9D, which is a big 80mm scope. I can view at the zenith with the Portamount, but I need to position the scope between the tripod legs when I'm pointing straight up.
