Hi all,
I've been watching this comet for the last few nights. The coma is large and well defined along with a notable yellowish color. Last night using my SkyWatcher 120, I noticed that on one side of the come there is a definite flattening. I'm not sure what that means but I thought it was interesting just the same.
Anyone else been watching, what have you all seen?

Yes, I too see what appears to be 2 nuclei, I'll probably make some additional observations through the night as there appears to be some background stars close to comet. If the additional nuclei is a background star, it will not move with the comet and a later observation (or 2) will confirm the "Background star" theory one way or the other.

Thanks all for your suggestions, I may go with John's suggestion first and look at the modified web cam (extended exposure)bit. I like playing with web cams so this might be the route I need to go.
At any rate, I'll do some research and some trial and error and let you all know.

I use a Synta 120mm Refractor (actually an older Skywatcher). For a mount I use an Orion EQ3-2. It's not the beefiest mount you can get but it's manual controlled and it's light enough I don't have to dismantle everything to carry it out to my observation site (my backyard)
The EQ3-2 has a dual controlled drive (both RA and DEC) so cold be used for things like web cam imaging, It also has the polar alignment scope and ranks decent in terms of stability (I wished it cold be a bit better though). All in all it's a decent performing scope and mount.
