Kosher food for prisoners?

Posted By Jim Johnson
http://news.yahoo.com/jewish-prisoner-argues-texas-must-kosher-food-205332483.html

Should US prisons be required to provide a kosher diet for Jewish prisoners? Is it discrimination if it is not provided?

I feel better that I never voted for him in his presidential run.

NRA (finally) endorses Romney

Posted By Jim Johnson

Apparently Romney does not agree completely with the NRA agenda and they held back - as though they had any other choice?

He is a medical doctor and he sits on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology. The Earth is 9,000 years old - better than 6,000 years I guess. Very interesting.

I am not picking on them because they are Republicans. They just said some things that won't help their re-election. If you want to hear some bizzare stuff try to get through this (I just started):

Should the US fund PBS/CPB?

Posted By Jim Johnson
http://www.janson.com/media/2010/12/13/pbs-audience-demographics/

I was surprised that we subsidize CPB/PBS to the tune of $445M for 2013. To me that is no penny ante amount. Why should we subsidize public television? The demographics confirm what I knew from experience - much of PBS/NPR's audience are college educated and making a nice income. With the advent of cable, satellite, Internet, etc. the need for public broadcasting is over. If any shows on PBS have a good following, they will be picked up by the plethora of cable channels. PBS is no longer the only source of documentaries and nature programming. CBS, ABC and NBC can fill the need for liberal news. Let PBS accept advertising. Though I do appreciate PBS bringing me Monty Python.

What say you? I bet I can guess the right-wing's stance but what about you moderates and liberals?
