The Democrat Party has become the party of Hasan Piker and Abdul el Sayed, and is now the party that has become anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, and Anti-American

Right now, before the midterms, Republicans are fear-mongering, scapegoating marginalized communities (LGBTQ, minorities, immigrants, etc.), and using exaggerated labels, such as calling Democrats communists and socialists to energize their voting base. Obviously, Rich is consuming and buying into a good bit of it; hence his post. You should see the ads Republicans are running against Talarico here in Texas, for example. They are truly shameful and full of outright lies. I even saw a political roadside sign the other day that said something like, "Vote Republican for lower prices and less inflation!" I was stupefied that any voter with a brain could buy into that argument given reality on the ground, but I'm sure there are many, like Rich, who do.

Those were his words verbatim and he made those statements over the weekend on the Erin Molan show.

Furthermore his claims (those in my header) which I outlined went along with his urging of the Democrats everywhere to leave the party that he said had become supportive of those like Hasan Piker and his anti-semitic views.

In fact, Alan Dershowitz went so far as to leave the Democrat party and joined the Republican party.

He didn't just become an independent but he actually joined the Repub. party,

He also stated during that interview that he has spoken to many of his still Democrat friends and they have indicated privately to him that they will be voting for Republicans.

Another statement that Dershowitz made was to say that Donald Trump is the President who has supported Israel more than any other President in the history of this nation.

You might want to pass on that info. to your TDS afflicted friend Rod Kaufman. Oh and Bill Maher, famous left wing pundit indicated that he would probably vote for the Republican party this go round.

I'll pass on your characterization of Alan Dershowitz your assertions about his words that he's promoting childish Trump scale political lies.

Personally, I'll agree with his analysis of what the Democrat party stands for and what the party has become, rather than the shallow and ignorant opinion of a glorified bookeeper on this forum.

Feel free at any time to call up Alan Dershowitz on his podcast to inform him how childish he is and how he lies.

An appeal to authority does not change the fact that the title of your post is full of lies about the Democratic Party. At most, you could call them political hyperbole or exaggeration, but by the same standards you use to identify lies, they are indeed lies. Besides, Trump and the MAGA movement are the most anti-American political movement we have seen in my lifetime for sure, if not ever. The list of damage Trump has done to American democratic traditions is long and appalling. He falsely claimed widespread fraud in our elections and made efforts to overturn a free and fair election in 2021. He has undermined our most treasured democratic institutions simply because they do not align with his political or personal interests. His almost constant stream of lies, falsehoods, and misleading statements. His attacks on the press, calling them "fake news" and "the enemy of the people," simply because they do not kowtow to his presidency. He uses the presidency for personal and corporate financial gain. The widespread nepotism in his presidency. His polarizing rhetoric and his attacks on race, gender, and nationality normalize nationalist and populist sentiment that are traditionally shunned. All of this stuff, and way more, clearly makes Trump the most anti-American president we have ever had.

I guess Rich must be hiding under his desk again. One funny thing about Rich defending his thread title by appealing to authority is that, in the process, he fully admitted he plagiarized Alan Dershowitz to score a few cheap points. He's gladly put other people in this forum on blast for the same thing for days, and hounded them about it off and on for months, even years. Yet apparently, when he does it, it's okay and an actual defense for his poor, ill-conceived rant. If Rich is a good example of the average hard-core Trump supporter, then it doesn't reflect well on their intelligence or integrity.

The Republican Party has become the party of Vladimir Putin and Trump, and is now the party that has become pro Russia, pro Iran, anti Ukraine, and, yes, anti-American.

It's so obviously an attempt to influence the midterms, since the amount of diesel in the deal is minuscule compared to what we need to make a difference in diesel prices. Also, on September 18, 2026, Trump signed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act into law, which authorizes tariffs of up to 100% on imports from the top five buyers or facilitators of Russian crude oil and natural gas. It's absolutely wild how inconsistent Trump is, aside from his desire to satisfy whatever short-term vanity wishes he has.

EVEN IF the polls underestimate the GOP Senate chances to HOLD the Senate, the Republicans STILL HOLD the Senate by the same 53-47 margin. Wow, that is what the Resident political analyst CNN Harry Enten said yesterday

How obtuse can you be?

Cherry-picking, quoting out of context, and nitpicking are three of Rich's favorite thickheadedness strategies. It's no surprise he's doing it here.

Abdul El Sayed is THE perfect Leftist Democrat Candidate as he holds ALL the attributes that the Dem party loves. He hates Israel, he sides w/ terrorists like Hamas, he supports the Muslim Brotherhood, he lied about being a Doctor, his best friend is a t

He wrote to Morsi, the head of the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood a number of years back, telling him to Crush the press and police as soon as possible.

El Sayed lied and said he didn't support the Muslim Brotherhood.  He said he can't criticize the Ayatollah Khamenei (because he supported Iran)

He said that Israel was worse than Iran. He accuses Israel of committing genocide against Gazans, which is a despicable lie.

The terrorist group The Muslim Brotherhood came out and endorsed El Sayed.

His Best Friend Hasan Piker, another terrorist supporter, said that America deserved 9/11.  He wants to drive Israel into the Sea, and wipe out the state of Israel.

When el Sayed was asked about those comments, he did not denounce them and said that he has a right to his opinion.

El Sayed was asked to denounce the vile Ayatollah leadership and he refused to do so.

There is SO much more about this terrorist supporter that is too long to list.  Nevertheless Democrats all over Michigan will vote for this scumbag.

His sister confirmed that he and everyone in his family ARE Muslim Brotherhood.

He lied and claimed he is a doctor.  He's not,

But not to worry, my guess is that Michigander Jim Moscheck WILL vote for him, either directly or indirectly by NOT casting a vote for his opponent Mike Rogers.

The Democrat party will welcome every communist, every socialist, and every terrorist and terrorist supporter into their open arms.

I would vote for him because most of what you have listed is either an outright lie about him or, at best, a gross mischaracterization. For example, saying that he lied about being a doctor is patently false and merely shows your susceptibility to right-wing misinformation and that you don't understand how academic titles work. Besides, what choice do we have when it comes to voting? Here in Texas, I either vote for Talarico or Ken Paxton, who has a long history of legal, ethical, and personal controversies that make him one of the most corrupt politicians to ever serve in the Texas government. Instead of complaining and lying about the record of Democratic candidates, maybe you and the Republican Party should find better candidates.

I got the one for my wife in the mail just the other day. I laughed out loud when I read it. They have had two years to fix the problems with our healthcare system, and the best they can come up with is a $90 bribe to seniors on Medicare.

Election predictions

What do you all think?

What's really going to be interesting to see is just how far the Trump administration will go to subvert the midterms. Trump and his cohorts are sending strong signals about what they are up to. In the past, I've ignored the signs as outlandish, since surely no one would ever try what they're reporting. Still, I've been shown so many times now that Trump is completely shameless when it comes to cheating and trampling all over established norms for his personal gain that I'm more inclined to believe what I read these days.

Look at the dubious election lawsuits in California and Alaska. They could have raised those challenges before the election; they are, in effect, legal Hail Marys the administration knows it will lose. But that's not the point; the point is to use the DOJ as the legal wing of Trump's political desires. The move aims to sow doubt and confusion about the election outcomes so they can claim they were cheated and create the opportunity to sow even more chaos after the election, likely with even more post-election challenges. Trump can't just accept a loss; he always has to create a pretext for why he was cheated, and he doesn't care one whit who or what he harms as long as it soothes his ego. He's done this before, so no one should think he won't do it again, and Trump outright said, when he was asked, that he told the DOJ to file the lawsuit in Alaska.

I hope that enough of the electorate has had enough of Trump's "winning," so that Congress changes enough, at least, to cripple the Trump administration for its last two years.
