Ilhan Omar was not using the phrase in remotely the same context that your examples used it. 

Rod used it in the context of defending the vile cretinous Democrat Ilhan Omar.

I will assert this, Rod was attempting to use that term purposely to try and equate the way that Omar used the words to imply that her context was no big deal when it is.  

He knows what HER context and HER meaning was in her use of those words but yet he will defend HER for one reason and one reason only, and that is because she has a D after her name.  

And that shows Me one thing, which is that the Most important attribute that another person possesses, in Rod's eyes, is that the person is a Democrat.  

That is the biggest attribute that Rod Looks to when deciding whether he will support that person.

IF they are a Democrat and they are a racist, that's ok with him, and he'll defend them.  

IF the person is a Republican, and they are a racist, he will excoriate that person.

Rod's Singular criteria for judging a person's character is whether or not they are a Democrat, because he worships the Democrat party and will never go against them, and more importantly he will defend that person to his last breath.  

As I stated, his political party is his God and his very religion.

How's the unemployment working for you?  The numbers were better than predicted by the Feds.
