Rich doesn't understand the burden of proof either. No reasonable person would read what I wrote in my original post and conclude that I was saying, "Trump has engaged in using price controls," which is what you claim.

If any Democrat even remotely suggested price controls like this, the GOP would be screaming they were woke, commie liberals who wanted to use the federal government to fix prices.

"If any Democrat even remotely suggested price controls like this," does not equate to "Trump has engaged in using price controls." I realize you desperately want it to say that, because you need it to say that so you have your strawman to attack, but that is not what it says. The level of nitpicking you stoop to routinely is absurd. I have no idea what you hope to prove or accomplish by constantly trying to twist our words and read more into them than any reasonable person would see.

You're an idiot. What I wrote could just as easily be interpreted as, "If Democrats even remotely suggested price controls like Trump is suggesting," which is closer to what I meant. And any rational person who read what I originally wrote would never interpret what I wrote the way you insist on analyzing it. Why? Because you have to nitpick and find anything to harp on about, no matter how ridiculously insignificant it is. What victory is it that you think you are winning by continuing to insist there is more in what I wrote than what is there? Congratulations on your nitpicking and endless insistence on winning a pyrrhic victory.

I am dealing with my own words, and you have posted on this subject as often as I have. By the way, stereotypical sexist insults such as "Like a little girl," say far more about you than me. By using these all you are doing is showing the world that you are a sexist moron who can't help but resort to childish stereotypes. As I said before, the best we can do is chalk it up to a lack of verbal skills.

Further, "this" is a pronoun most often used to refer to a specific thing or situation just mentioned. So, in the sentence, "if any Democrat even remotely suggested price controls like this," most reasonable people would realize that "this" is referring to the "suggested price controls." No one here, besides you, is stupid enough or lacks the reading comprehension necessary to understand this.

If I ever encounter someone who routinely talks like Rich does in real life, I automatically avoid them as much as possible, even to the point of completely shunning them. You are delusional if you think you have proven anything. I assert that nearly every reasonable person would read my post and not conclude that I said, "Trump implemented price controls." Regardless, the more interesting question is why you get on these nitpicking tirades that you simply will not let go of. Let's say you are correct, and what I 100% meant was, "Trump implemented price controls." Then, so what? Other than using it as a personal attack, what the heck does it matter if I misspoke, or I engaged in a bit of hyperbole, or if, heaven forbid, I was simply wrong? It doesn't change the overall point, which is that MAGA and Republicans are more than willing to ignore or make ample excuses for Trump's overreach, while condemning what they perceive as even the tiniest hint of overreach from a Democrat. As I said, the more interesting thing about all this is why you insist on going on these nitpicking benders that have no redeeming value and only make you look like a relentless, childish nitpicking ninny?
