Current GOP Strategy: Hide From Your Constituents!

2. When he doesn't get his way, act as irrational and unstable as possible.

3. Abuse people, laws, norms, and expectations as much as possible in the process.

4. Attack people and our allies needlessly, fire everyone who disagrees with him, and investigate everyone else who disagrees with him.

5. Burn as many bridges as possible and scorch the earth.

6. When he finally makes a mediocre compromise that is not much different from what originally existed, he claims he negotiated the best deal anyone has ever seen in the history of deals. If he can't make a deal, he blames it on Democrats, or DEI, or wokeness, or whatever is the most convenient scapegoat at the time.

Thank you President Trump for doing what needed to be done to get the US Stock Markets to go up a bunch this week!

Trump is so upset by his bad poll numbers right now that he's calling for the pollsters to be investigated for election fraud. Of course, if a pollster ever has him polling well, then they are the best pollsters ever known. The man is truly delusional and the biggest snowflake who is incapable of handling any criticism maturely.

Canada Elects Liberal In Response To Trump/Auto Tariffs

"Howard Lutnick says ‘deal’ has been reached on auto tariffs"

"Lutnick’s comments came after the Wall Street Journal reported earlier that President Donald Trump is set to announce a new tariff structure for cars that avoids stacking them on top of other tariffs already in place."

"Taken together, any auto tariff changes would be retroactive, allowing automakers to be refunded for prior tariffs paid that would no longer be in effect, according to the WSJ."

"However, Trump has flip-flopped on tariff policies numerous times, meaning any new changes he makes could easily be reversed or altered."

I(we) can get refunds on rescinded tariffs, too?  This is just nuts...

Lutnick claims it's a great victory for the President, but from what I can tell, all that happened is Trump walked back the tariffs he initially imposed on automakers; in short, it's little more than another reversal.

Regarding the Canadian elections, it seems the same thing is poised to happen in Australia. Nothing unites Canadians and Australians more than Trump sticking his nose into their politics and his completely ridiculous trade war.

The companies should absolutely display the tariff tax on their items...Geez!

Wow! 20,000 UPS workers "liberated" from their jobs. Is this the winning we've heard so much about? Or the "little pain" that the tariffs will cost? Maybe they can work in all those factories that are coming back to the USA.

An open question to Jim Brown, who has demanded that ALL 15 Million illegal aliens in this nation have to be provided with free lawyers, court appearances, and 2 appeals to higher courts, IF these illegal aliens desire

In some cases, the illegal alien is to be incarcerated for a crime above and beyond illegal entry.  A crime like murder, rape or theft.  By incarcerated, I mean either here in the US or in a Salvadoran prison paid for by taxpayers.  In those cases, the due process burden obviously includes proving that the illegal committed another crime above and beyond illegal entry.

Of course, the illegal alien could be incarcerated here (for an appropriate time) for the crime of illegal entry alone.  That is not how it is usually done, except for the time awaiting deportation.

Yeah, the whole we don't have time or money to give 15,000,000 illegal aliens due process is intentionally misleading and honestly a strawman, since no one ever suggested it was necessary. We don't have to round up all the illegal aliens and give them due process to right the wrong committed against Garcia. Also, there are lots of laws on the books that allow for expedited removal, which do not include a hearing before an immigration judge.

It looks to me that Temu is currently aggressively promoting items stocked locally in the US for US shoppers. Temu has US warehouses full of items that were here before the tariffs took effect. I've seen screenshots showing the new tariff line item in several mainstream journalism stories. Still, it's tough to find anything now that includes the line item, since Temu is only showing local items for US shoppers. Presumably, as those stock items dwindle, the 145% tariff upcharge will become more common.

So UPS has been downsizing MORE during the last 2 years of the Biden administration than they are planning to cut this year.

Nothing to see here, except a company that has been restructuring its business plan and attempting to save money and become More efficient.

So in the last years under Biden, UPS averaged job cuts across their company of 23,000 Per year, more than the planned cuts this year.

Just more fear mongering from our resident communist.  smile

P.S.  These are planned cuts not your asserted cuts.  So your statement is unknown right now.  But we KNOW that the last years of Biden caused 46,000 lost jobs at UPS.

The most recent GDP data shows we went into reverse in the first quarter of this year. ADP's employment numbers for April are significantly lower than expected. Shipping volumes are way down. So, regardless of the ongoing UPS restructuring, do you think Trump's policies have hurt or helped UPS? It's pretty clear they didn't help, and they were mentioned as a factor in the article Rod linked.

Biden: 2.4% GDP last quarter. Trump: -0.3% GDP, a drop of 2.7%.

Not.

Hey, at least we don't have that overqualified and competent brown lady with the cackling laugh in the WH.

Trump is the most incompetent and dangerous leader we have seen in our lifetimes. If he did nothing else but golf, we would be better off. But I'm pretty sure that if the election were held again today, he would still win, even given what we know about his first 100 days. Never underestimate how misinformed American voters can be, even when credible evidence is right in front of their eyes.
