I'm sure that the left and the resident RINO are already doing this....... BUT

Nope, not funny. Downright lame in fact. Those idiots could learn something from The Onion.

Not sure why I even clicked on his post - I normally just skip over them since they're usually some combination of not true, not funny (well, not INTENTIONALLY funny), word salad, and/or pure insanity.

None of us here are particularly woke, by the way.  We can still laugh at Animal House or Tropic Thunder.  Can you imagine the reaction of the Atlantic scold who interviewed the Bee's editor if she were forced to watch Tropic Thunder?  (See the link in Richard's second or third post)  That link, was terribly funny in my opinion; at the Atlantic's expense...

Hi Jim,

I never even heard of the Bee until now. I just read the seatbelt article and since that was pretty lame I stopped there.

BTW, I have zero tolerance for the "woke" crowd. Thankfully they don't seem to occupy my universe. They wouldn't last one day in the office environment that I work in (90%veterans). LOL

Happy New Year!

I agree with most of the quote above, but as far as I can tell, with a few reasonable exceptions, the US and Colorado have petty much gotten back to normal.  The sporting events are playing to packed arenas, some people mask, some don't.  I wore a mask the last time I flew (Thanksgiving) and I wore a mask to the eye doctor a few weeks ago, according to their policies.  Otherwise, I have a mask in my pocket when I go out, but I generally don't wear it.  Hardly like being locked up in a pen.  Not for me at least.

Our office, per state regulations requires masks or proof of vaccination to enter the building.  This too is a pretty minor inconvenience.  Most everyone is vaccinated and lots of us are still working from home anyway.

I'm not sure if Omicron will kill far less than influenza, but I hope you are right.  I read an article the other day noting that there are 4 broad strains or families of coronavirus that cause the common cold.  Of course they mutate all the time, but there were four ancestral strains.  The epidemiologist who wrote the article speculated that each of these strains might have caused it's own pandemic killing many when that particular coronavirus crossed over for the first time into the human population.  Now after 1000s of years of coexistence we just have to deal with annual colds.  Covid 19 might be headed that way, with Omicron being a good step along the path.  Let's hope so.  Jim
Hi Jim,
Were you affected by the fires? I heard Boulder was hit hard and was wondering about your situation.

Jim
The same is true here in CA. Everyone I know is working and doing well financially. My job is very busy (a good thing!), and the restaurant/brewery that I'm an investor in did great in 2021 - in fact the highest weekly sales ever less than a month ago.  I have a finish carpenter doing work on my house right now and he's booked solid for months. Everyone who wants a job seems to have one.

Oh my god I have to wear a mask indoors in public places for a while - the horror! LOL

No, pretty much everyone does except for the guy who posted this on the 2nd:

"I haven't posted since the 29th because I decided that with the New Year, I was going to pretty much quit posting anything here, unless it was a brief remark now and then."

I guess everyone's definition of "a brief remark now and then" can be very different. LOL

What clips and news? Trump asked that the acting defense secretary (Miller IIRC) to provide troops to protect the "demonstrators", not to protect the capitol. Miller said no - it would look like a military coup. This is according to Miller's own testimony. It took all of 30 seconds to find this.

Of course this morphed into some fiction involving Pelosi which the gullible fringe lapped up.

When something doesn't even pass the smell test, why propagate it without a little scrutiny first?

Richard being unintentionally funny again.

He posts all kind of personal info about his family here, including his brother's bout with Covid, what hospital he was in, what drugs he took (and likely had reactions to), including pictures! We also know he considers his sister overweight, and now we know all about nieces and nephews. But "anything occurring in my family is none of your God Damned business". LOL

Richard, do your family members know you routinely post their personal private information on the internet for all to see?  If so, have you apologized to them?

My Mom used to think there was a little girl peeking out from around the hall corner waving at her. She believed it with all of her heart and would get mad at us because we couldn't see her, too. Maybe Rich has early stage dementia, it could explain a lot.
It would explain the little leftists peeking out from around the hall corner waving at him.

You could always try to not post dumb posts every day.

Remember this post of yours? "I decided that with the New Year, I was going to pretty much quit posting anything here, unless it was a brief remark now and then."

That's not a dumb post. You should try and follow that advice - LOL.
