Somebody made bank this afternoon.

By the way, I'm telling the truth about being a buy and hold investor, put at great risk because of Trump's dumb-assery.  You on the other hand are obviously lying about timing this market to make money.  For starters, no one believes that you have a job or any money.  So the thought of you selling precious metals to buy equities is laughable.  Second, everyone knows you lie pathologically.  Third, you are not smart enough to time the market.

Timing the market or making bank off of a single stock purchase is not impossible. Still, anyone who routinely engages in that kind of activity is going to lose their ass a lot more than not. Instead, most investors diversify their risk, cost average their assets into the market, and ride the market up and down, just like you, I, and many others do.

Unfortunately, we are not done with the orange menace, and there is no guarantee that he will not engage in more tariff fiascos. My close family member works in wealth management at a large financial institution. She told me they were selling off bonds and CDs by the boat loads because their fund managers had lost confidence in the ability of the US economy to service its debt over the long term. She also told me that their fund managers are hardly confident that Trump won't engage in more ass-hattery and are adjusting holdings and portfolios still assuming that he will do something stupid again. I hope Congress or some opposition group can do something to impede his ability to act so stupidly, but I'm not confident that will happen either. Sigh. It still shocks me that anyone wanted this clown close to the WH again; I wouldn't trust him with a child's lemonade stand.

Even FOX News is now admitting that Trump capitulated due to the bond market. It's so funny that he feels he has to say, "I know what I'm doing!" when he doesn't. The first rule of leadership is if you have to claim you know what you are doing and that you had to capitulate because your constituents were getting "yippy," then you don't know what you are doing.

For dumbasses like you who sold their portfolio perhaps the damage is done.

Why didn't Jim Brown and You our resident communist come on here and speak of the $12 Trillion dollars that was lost because of Biden and his administration?

First, no one here sold anything. It's ridiculous that you keep repeating this false claim. We are all buying, diversifying, reinvesting, and holding investors. The only dumbass here is yourself, because you expect us to believe that you sold precious metals, and then timed the market just right and bought equities and made a mint. Bullshit. As I said before, receipts or it didn't happen.

Second, the market has hardly recovered from the damage done. All the markets are still down 5-6% from where they were before Trump's tariff fiasco started. Institutional investors are still dumping bonds and treasuries and rebalancing portfolios, assuming that the orange menace is up to more dumb-assery. There is still a lot of uncertainty and instability in the market and the global economy.

Lastly, the reason we didn't blame Biden is because Biden was not a dumbass participating in market manipulation. It's impossible to argue that Trump and his policies are not directly responsible for the chaos and volatility currently in the market and that he is also almost single-handedly responsible for putting us at a high risk for recession. He accomplished all of that ass-hattery in just a few short days with some of the dumbest and completely avoidable economic policies any of us have seen in our lifetimes.

Richard, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but honesty and not being a fraud are the rarest of terms that would ever be used to describe your character.

The other day, he accused JimB of telling stories about his recent supposed investment activities, when Rich himself has been outright lying about all of the rest of us selling our portfolios in a panic. The cluelessness of this guy knows zero bounds: that and his uncanny ability to never take accountability for anything he does or says. He's either the victim, or you made him do it, or he starts hurling all kinds of schoolyard insults, rewrites history (as he just did with you), and so forth. Truly incredible.

Corrupt little maggot of a Judge in the DC district court just got his arrogant little ass handed to him on a plate by the United States Supreme Court

It's all too common among the MAGA crowd; anything that doesn't go my way is a conspiracy, and anyone who I feel was responsible for it not going my way is corrupt or fake news.

The Real Effects of the Tariffs Per US Manufacturers

"Nearly half say reshoring would double costs and President Trump's trade war is more likely to kick off a new global search for low-tariff regimes."

"In the near-term, 61% of survey respondents said price hikes are coming and they expect consumer demand will decline, with recession the base case for 63% of respondents."

"In addition to the tariffs, consumer demand and raw material prices, as well as the "current administration's inability to provide a consistent strategy," were cited as key supply chain concerns."

From what I've read, China is already finding new export markets to nullify the US tariffs. For example, if you are on social media, you know that many Chinese manufacturers are using social media to find new customer bases.  I have read that only 15% of what China manufactures comes to the US. So, the tariffs will hurt, but I'm afraid Trump and his advisors do not understand the assignment very well.

What? Says the guy who cites the NYPost and all sorts of right-wing whacko propaganda sites like "The Blaze," as if they are factual? At least Wikipedia is crowd-sourced and faces some level of peer-review. Most of your sources are not factual or journalistic in the least. Self-awareness and the ability to recognize your behaviors is a crucial life skill most of us learn starting in infancy. What the hell happened to you?

You were full of shit then and you're full of shit almost every day on this forum.

I never claimed it was a lie. I did question the chain of custody of the laptop. Richard, I hate to be the one to break it to you again, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then, and a broken clock is right twice a day. If the NYPost is right once in a while, it does nothing to erase their overall deplorable record with journalistic standards and truth-telling. Additionally, regardless of what you think about me, your record for posting outrageous right-wing nut-jobbery here is legendary, and you have zero credibility when it comes to judging other people's sources because yours are the worst of the worst.
