Wow, Lots of bad information here. The motors are 12-18v @ about 3.6 +/_ A DC they will work any where in that range and Just fine with your power supply, with 30Amp power supply in fact you can run a G11, and Atlas EQ, and an LX200 and all the dew stuff you would need for the set up's. I say this because I have.

Here is what in the Losmandy L4 Manual

"2.2.4 Power Requirements
The Gemini System requires 12–18 Volts DC, 3 Amps to operate. You will need to have
a battery or regulated DC power supply. Your choice of power supply is very important!
Many DC power units are not regulated, provide too little current, and too little or too
much voltage. This can cause problems with the Gemini. If you plan to run other
equipment from the power supply, make sure it has enough additional capacity. Choose
your power supply carefully to meet the requirements mentioned above, and avoid
potential problems such as long power cables. The Losmandy DC power supply
(available separately) meets all the above requirements."

Hi Folks,

The 2010 NorthEast Astro-Imaging Conference (NEAIC) will be held
on April 15th and 16th, the Thursday and Friday right before NEAF.
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Suffern, NY, which will provide
us a lot more space than the previous years.

This year NEAIC will feature three lines of talks; Our basic Introduction to Telescopes & Astro Imaging with Dave Snay, you know Dave from his column in Astronomy Technology Today, Dave will be running a five part workshop over the two days of the conference.

Our next line of talks will focus on the preparing and processing of your pretty pictures. Speakers for this line of talks will include:

Look, if we want young people in the hobby we need to go after them. Make your self a resource to your schools, go in talk to the school board tell them how you can help the staff in organizing as star party. I can tell you from my experience they will welcome you with open arms, Don't try to be a teacher but a resource for the teachers. In the past 6 months working hand and hand with the Superintendent of Schools for my school district we have started astronomy clubs in our High School, and one of our Elementary Schools. The schools have gotten 7 scopes and mounts 3 camera's, even the Captain of the football team & "the most popular girl in school" in the high school are members of the astronomy club. The most impotent thing is to make it about the kids!!! not your club, and not about you, it's always has to be about the kids.

Remember the odds of winning the first prize are something like 150 to 1 and remember that for all the prizes other then the grand prize there are no extra tickets sold, One ticket for each attendee.
