Advice on LX90

Posted By Rick Huber

Joe,
The LX90 is a excellent value for the dollar. It is portable, easy to setup and the goto is as good as anyones. I agree with the other post, don't get hung up on accessories. Those will come in time. First enjoy the scope, learn how to use it effectively and you'll discover as you use it what additional "goodies" you might want.

Hope this helps in a small way.

How old are you???

Posted By Rick Huber

I'm soon to be 63. Been doing this since I was thirteen, and yep, I remember Sputnik and the geophysical year 1957-58. Purchased a 4" Dyanascope (which I still have). Been through plenty of scopes over the years.
Light pollution has increased exponentially over this time so observing is far more difficulty without travelling many a mile.

The wonders are still there and still waiting to be discovered, so I keep looking.

Thanks for a great image! Again what you do with your LX90 is astounding and a real boost for those of us that own that scope.

Must be getting Old !!

Posted By Rick Huber

Hi John:
I can relate. Will soon be 64 and been doing this since 1956. It seems that I have far more excuses why not tonight than say 10 years ago. I still love the hobby but just seems that my time with it has dwindled over the years.
