Dumbell Neb. with Orion 7nm H-alpha filter.

Hi All,

Another test of my new Orion 7nm imaging H-alpha filter. This is through the APM 130/780 and the ATIK 16HR (2 x 10 min + 6 x 5 min binned 2X2). Seems to a very decent filter and works as advertised. Once again from the light polluted depths of Aggieland.

M16 HOO narrowband

Gusty winds and scudding clouds allowed only three 5 minute OIII subs and a single 5 minute H-alpha sub last night. Still, it's not too shabby, considering..... APM 130/780 LW, Atlas EQ-G (EQMOD) using the Atik 16 HR camera and the Orion 7nm narrowband filters.

M27 HOO scheme

Hi All,

Took this over the weekend. APM 130/780, ATIK 16HR CCD camera riding on the ATLAS EQ-G mount. 2 hours of OIII (blue and green channels) and 2 hours 10 minutes of H-alpha (red channel). Each subexposure was 20 mins long.

Hi All,

Completed the set with S-II data 3x20min last night. Here's the dumbbell nebula in HOS tricolor scheme, S-II assigned to blue, O-III to green and H-Alpha to red. APM 130/780, ATIK 16HR on ATLAS EQ-G mount. I really like the Orion tricolor "extra" narrowband imaging filter set.

Crescent HOO scheme

Hi All,

Taken last weekend. 1 hour each of H-alpha (red channel) and O-III (blue channel); 10 minute subexposures. APM 130/780, ATIK 16HR CCD camera on ATLAS EQ-G mount. Orion H-alpha and O-III 7nm "extra" narrowband filters used.

Hi All,

This was imaged last night using the Orion narrowband imaging filter set and the APM 130/780 LW using the ATIK CCD camera. 6x20min. H-alpha + 3x20.min O-III + 1x20min. S-II. Calibrated in DSS and processed in PS CS2.

NGC 7635 - The Bubble Nebula H-alpha only.

Took this on Saturday evening. Had issues with guiding, and some strange error messages with ASCOM. Still trying to figure them out. But in any case, I had 6 x 20 min. worth of H-alpha data, plus a few O-III and a few S-II frames. This is the H-alpha only data.

APM 130/780 LW @ f/6 and ATIK 16HR monochrome using Orion 7nm H-alpha filter.
