Obama Budget Vote: Close But No Cigar

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Dave Snope said:

President Obama's budget was defeated 414-0 in the House late Wednesday, in a vote Republicans arranged to try to embarrass him and shelve his plan for the rest of the year.

The vote came as the House worked its way through its own fiscal year 2013 budget proposal, written by Budget Committee Chairman Paul D. Ryan. Republicans wrote an amendment that contained Mr. Obama's budget and offered it on the floor, daring Democrats to back the plan, which calls for major tax increases and yet still adds trillions of dollars to the deficit over the next decade.

"It’s not a charade. It’s not a gimmick — unless what the president sent us is the same," said Rep. Mick Mulvaney, a freshman Republican from South Carolina who sponsored Mr. Obama's proposal for purposes of the debate. "I would encourage the Democrats to embrace this landmark Democrat document and support it. Personally, I will be voting against it."

But no Democrats accepted the challenge.

Obama's Greatest Ally

"Let’s do the accounting. In addition to canceling the Polish/Czech missile-defense system, Obama gave the Russians accession to the World Trade Organization, signed a START Treaty that they need and we don’t (their weapons are obsolete and deteriorating rapidly), and turned a scandalously blind eye to their violations of human rights and dismantling of democracy. Obama even gave Putin a congratulatory call for winning his phony election.

In return? Russia consistently watered down or obstructed sanctions on Iran, completed Iran’s nuclear reactor at Bushehr, provides to this day Bashar al-Assad with huge arms shipments used to massacre his own people (while rebuilding the Soviet-era naval base in the Syrian port of Tartus), conducted a virulently anti-American presidential campaign on behalf of Putin, pressured Eastern Europe and threatened Georgia.

On which of “all these issues — Syria, Iran, Eastern Europe, Georgia, human rights — is Obama ready to offer Putin yet more flexibility as soon as he gets past his last election? Where else will he show U.S. adversaries more flexibility? Yet more aid to North Korea? More weakening of tough Senate sanctions against Iran?

Can you imagine the kind of pressure a reelected Obama will put on Israel, the kind of anxiety he will induce from Georgia to the Persian Gulf, the nervousness among our most loyal East European friends who, having been left out on a limb by Obama once before, are now wondering what new flexibility Obama will show Putin — the man who famously proclaimed that the “greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century was Russia’s loss of its Soviet empire?

They don’t know. We don’t know. We didn’t even know this was coming — until the mike was left open. Only Putin was to know. “I will transmit this information to Vladimir, Medvedev assured Obama.

Added Medvedev: “I stand with you. A nice endorsement from Putin’s puppet, enough to chill friends and allies, democrats and dissidents, all over the world."

Being a Constitutional scholar...he probably interprets his oath to mean, *Support thugs foreign and domestic*

If you think the migration out of CA last decade was bad, keep watching! Here is an interesting comment about the article:

"Apple Computer, headquarter in Cupertino Ca., announced a new $300 million dollar facility to house 3,600 new employees to be built here in America.

The problem is they are building it in Texas. People don't have to move to lower California tax revenues. When they don't have jobs and go on food stamps it still drains. We have to lower taxes and energy costs in California to ever recover."

Good for Texas...bad for California. Good for Apple.

The Sanctity of Marriage(s)?

A federal judge has ruled there's sufficient evidence to allow a polygamous family made famous by a reality TV show to pursue a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Utah's bigamy law.

The family sued Buhman, Gov. Gary Herbert and Attorney General Mark Shurtleff in July 2011, claiming Utah's bigamy statute violates its constitutional rights to due process, equal protection, free exercise of religion, free speech and freedom of association.

I thought marriage was to be between a man and only one woman!

Didn't you hear.....marriage is now between anyone and whatever..and in any number. We're looking more like hell every day.

He is different than Romney. How many independents want to hear this speech?

What an idiot..a big dumb @ss idiot. I built 3 businesses from the ground up...The first was absorbed by the second..the second went out of business...and the third reinstated the first. And I did all the footwork, the study..the continued education all by myself...OfreekingBama wasn't even out of Chicago then. Sure I joined the Navy and got my initial training..but that in no way was involved in building my businesses.

I should then thank evolution(If I believed in that nonsense), for draggin me outta the sea..so I could begin to think of building a business.......Sheesh

Egypt Actors Turn Violent When Told Show Is Israel

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Dave Snope said:

Watch what happens when three different Egyptian actors are told that the show they are on is for Israeli TV, and that there is a Jew in the room. But it's a hoax, there are no Jews.

The one guy is especially a sicko after he attacked a woman who he thought was a Jew, he invited her to his car to rub lotion on her. Then they tell them that they were patriotic for attacking the faux "Jews".

And we wonder why Israel is so protective and on guard. Disgusting video.

It seems, agains all odds, that the reports about Chik-Fil-A commenting on gay marriage are distorted by media outlets. The man was talking about traditional marriage in his interview, not gay marriage. Lifting up traditional marriage is not at all a specific attack against gay marriage.

I'm only glad this riled my wife up enough to let us go there for dinner!

On the *Five* yesterday, Bob Beckle towed the same line....that Chik-Fil-A was against gay marriage and that they should just mind their own business. The other four hosts tromped him and said the same thing you did...that the Chik-Fil-A folks only commented on their traditional beliefs.....the left will always take it to the most obsurd assumptions.......
