Thanks Greg. This mod reminds me of a CPC1100 I once owned. In fact, this is why I made my "CPC" C14. For visual observing, which is what I do most, these "contraptions" are a joy to use. No fuss and easy to fire up and go astro-hunting. I will probably be selling my 10" Coulter Cass because it is now beginning to "collect dust." If I want to observe deep sky objects and perform some moon/planet astrophotography I generally use the C14. If I want to use a "seeing" buster and do some high res lunar/planetary observing, or view open clusters, the refractor usually comes out. As you well know, it's nice to have choices. grin

This is the best large refractor I have owned. Superb lens. Saturn and Jupiter at 375X on decent nights are a sight to behold. The pics taken through the instrument are not as good as the "crisp" views I'm getting with this scope.

Thanks. I'm now using a Svbony SV305 with the Sky-Watcher 150ED. I'm still "feeling" my way forward. I shot the GRS, Ganymede and Io (ingress) shadow transits last night. Having fun along the way smile
