My younger brother contracted Covid, and Hydroxychloroquine saved his life.

Then his Doctors gave him Hydroxychloroquine, Z-Pac, and Ivermectin.

He said that when he got the drugs, his condition changed overnight.

He left on the 3rd day.

He developed a severe allergic reaction to the HCQ, at least that is what the Drs. think caused a crazy rash, that looked like burns all over his body.

Just glad that he lives in Texas, where they have common sense and are willing to prescribe medication that the Leftist Democrats have outlawed in their blue states!!  smile
Was he vaccinated?

Z-Pack is an antibiotic and could have helped if your bro had bacterial pneumonia, secondary to Covid.  Ivermectin is a veterinary de-wormer.  The FDA advises against its use in humans.  That's all I know.  Like I said, I am glad he recovered.

Jim
Even Merck (Ivermectin manufacturer) stated there's no scientific basis of a therapeutic effect against Covid.

I'm guessing that none of the Covid vaccines prevent worms in horses, either. LOL

I'd like to know if they also gave him dexamethasone which is commonly used to suppress the hyperactive immune response that can cause death in covid. Maybe they gave him monoclonal antibodies, too. He wouldn't know because he was unconscious on a vent. People do make it off the vents from time to time and they do so without HCL, a Z-pac and ivermectin, too.
What I do know is that had he been vaccinated he likely would not have been there in the first place and he wouldn't potentially be depriving an ICU bed for a patient with another treatable problem like a heart attack victim.
That said, the "evidence" for using HCL is sketchy at best and for it to supposedly work, with or without a Z-pak, it has to be given EARLY in the disease and not after a patient is already on a vent!  Here's a systematic review of its efficacy which means the authors looked at various studies, SOME of which showed efficacy and again early in the disease but remember this isn't necessarily a statement as to the quality of those studies: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7534595/
As for Ivermectin, the AMA TODAY called for an "immediate end" to the prescribing of Ivermectin to treat covid:  "Use of ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 has been demonstrated to be harmful to patients," the groups said. "Calls to poison control centers due to ivermectin ingestion have increased five-fold from their pre-pandemic baseline."  https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/570519-american-medical-association-calls-for-immediate-end-to-use-of-ivermectin
That's the take-away right there. The vast majority of people on ventilators due to Covid right now are the unvaccinated - no doubt that includes this guy.

Now then, where does the information I posted refute everything or even anything I stated.  James Brown stated that the FDA had advocated that people NOT take Ivermectin. I clearly showed and delineated where the FDA had done nothing of the sort.  They simply don't recommend it.

And now you claim "Rich is desperate to be right about HCQ"??   LOL

Why would I care whether or not you think HCQ is, or is not a viable drug?  I couldn't give 2 craps what you think about any drugs or the vaccine one way or the other.

So then Please explain "my desperation" James.

I myself was vaccinated and I think I may have gotten something, maybe Covid about a month ago, because I felt run down for a couple of days, like I had run a marathon.  I was drained for a couple of days, similar to the way I felt when I got the vaccination back in April.

Lastly, I give Harvey Risch the weight I do because I find his research compelling, plus the fact that he's a Yale Epidemiologist who has written and had published in Medical Journals such as the JAMA, the LANCET, the NEJM, with over 300 Peer Reviewed articles on medicine.

So tell me James, how many of his colleagues went and censured him? How many?

Now, how many of those who censured him were epidemiologists?

Please give me the stats?
Actually, none of the personal medical information you posted is anyone's business but his and whoever he personally shares it with, but you posted in this public forum anyway. His name, hospital, drugs, pictures, etc.

Since you had no problem posting his personal medical info in a public forum but refuse to answer the vaccination question, I think we can all conclude that he was unvaccinated. Admitting that wouldn't fit your world view though, would it?

I'm waiting for the inevitable "My brother told me I was free to share his personal medical info so long as I kept his vaccination status a secret!"  Along with some name calling of course.

I don't consider a photo of a leg to be his personal medical history.  LOL

I put nothing about his personal medical history.

Obviously you're reaching because that's what leftists do continuously.

What I posted was about how he said Hydroxychloroquine saved his life.

That was the essence of the posting.

Do you ever have anything of substance to add to any of these threads, or is your very essence of being here to see if you can have a GOTCHA! moment?

tongue
That's some funny stuff right there.

"what happened to him and what drugs they gave him and his name" is personal medical info.

What, no name calling?  I'm disappointed!

Not expecting an answer, are you? Or how about an honest answer?

Well, I have to say, I'm convinced!

Honestly, you have to live in a truly alternate reality to believe that it's really the Democrats that created pandemic denial and vaccine hesitancy among Republicans. This is just bonkers-Ville.

Take, for example, the quote from Harris. In the video, Harris is taken out of context, saying, "I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump."

On Sept. 6th, 2020, she was asked if she would take the vaccine if it were approved before the election was over. Her entire reply in context is as follows:

"Well, I think that's going to be an issue for all of us. I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump. And it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about. I will not take his word for it. He wants us to inject bleach. I — no, I will not take his word."

Here is her other quote entirely in context.

On Oct. 7th, 2020, during the VP debate, when asked if she would take the vaccine if Trump approved it, Harris said:

"If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I’ll be the first in line to take it. Absolutely. But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I’m not taking it."

It's pretty clear all these people are taken out of context and that what they were worried about at the time was that Trump would rush the vaccine out for political purposes.
I also learned right here in the last few days that white supremacists vote democrat. Who knew?

Jim
His brother?  Just a guess.
