Once again....so what? Bottom line is we left on Biden's watch, the decision to do so belongs to Biden. The thousands of innocent deaths belong to Biden. Or are you claiming that Biden had no choice in the matter? That he couldnt reverse the former President's plan? LOL

Not only is Rod full of shit on this one but Trump had put everything in place to get everyone that needed to be gotten out, out of there before the final pull out of the remaining troops. Biden ignored that and endangered them all......which is why they are now having to send even more troops back. Biden botched the whole thing royally, so badly in fact it seems obvious it was on purpose. One has to wonder what that was meant to be a distraction from?

You wouldnt know truth if it bit you in the ass Rod..... The catastrophe unfolding in Afghanistan will undoubtedly go down as one of the most shameful foreign policy disasters in American history, and the responsibility for this clusterfuck falls squarely on President Joe Biden.

In April, when President Biden announced – against the advice of senior military leaders – that he planned to pull all U.S. forces out of Afghanistan by September 11, 2021, his Administration assured the American people that his withdrawal would be “responsible, deliberate and safe.”

Three weeks later, the Taliban launched a major offensive that quickly pushed back Afghan government forces. Still in July President Biden dismissed the Taliban and claimed that “the likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.”

It is an indisputable fact that Joe Biden terribly mismanaged his withdrawal from Afghanistan. Furthermore, it is painfully obvious that he made no preparations in case he had miscalculated. The consequences for his folly are devastating and deadly.

Thousands of Americans remain stranded in Afghanistan. Our foreign allies face retribution from the Taliban. The terrible images of Afghans falling from the sky after clinging desperately to planes leaving Kabul will be etched into our memory. Billions of dollars in U.S. military equipment is now in the Taliban’s hands, including helicopters, armored vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, artillery, and even combat aircraft not to mention thousands of small arms and ammunition. Across the globe, our partners and allies are questioning whether they can truly rely on America’s promises. There’s no doubt that we will be feeling the aftershocks from the fall of Afghanistan for years to come.

Contrary to the pitiful claims of senior Biden Administration officials, this outcome was not inevitable. While I believe that maintaining a small U.S. presence in Afghanistan was necessary for our national security, I also believe it was possible to withdraw without causing an unmitigated disaster.

Last year, President Donald Trump negotiated a conditions-based drawdown of U.S. forces from Afghanistan. In other words, American troops would leave only so long as the Taliban held to their end of the deal.

President Biden has pointed to this agreement to claim that he had inherited this withdrawal from his predecessor and suggest that Donald Trump is to blame. What else is new? This is a sad attempt to spin the narrative and duck responsibility.

First, the Taliban has continuously violated the conditions of this agreement, thereby making it null and void. Second, Biden has made no effort whatsoever to hold the Taliban accountable for breaking the deal. Third, considering how Biden has reversed and overturned Trump policies and agreements across the board on nearly every issue, it is simply preposterous to argue that this one single agreement (which the enemy has habitually broken) cannot be changed.

This is Joe Biden’s debacle.

It is. If Trump was president, it would have already occurred earlier in the year. That's the only difference. Given the speed of the Taliban advance and the rapidity of the collapse of the Afghan army and the government, the same scenario would have played out, only earlier in the year. And what part of the "deal" that Trump and Pompeo made the Taliban did they break? The deal was they wouldn't attack US personnel and they didn't. They barely fired a shot as the entire country collapsed in front of them. They simply marched on in. It's ludicrous to somehow think it would have been different under Trump. After all, he gave up the Kurds, too...

Bullshit.....Trump would have gotten our citizens and supporters OUT before pulling the military out.....Trump would have held the Taliban to their agreement or hit them hard as promised if they didnt. Biden? Well, we see what Biden would do lol

Trump negotiated with the Taliban? Lol! Where? At Camp David? Oh, he nixed that "secret meeting" when somebody in his administration leaked it, (normal for his administration) and nobody in their right mind could believe he would think you could negotiate with the taliban at Camp David! So, he sends Pompeo to Afghanistan where he springs the Taliban leader from prison to "negotiate" with him while leaving out the Afghan government from the "negotiation"!!! I mean, you can't make this stuff up! So, when the US leaves and the Taliban WALK-IN because the Afghan government was never part of the "negotiation", and the Afghan military sees it, they leave, too!
So much for Trump's "negotiation"....

No idea regarding post 18 as you arent worth the time to go look back and see..... No it was a general thought regarding your ridiculous BS......which you of course continue to spout above.

Seems quite appropriate......and funny.

Now here is something unbelievably ridiculous and not the least bit funny.

I just heard on the radio that US Citizens are being told by state department personnel that they MUST sign an agreement to pay up to $2000 per person in order to board an evacuation flight out of Kabul......

So our government is flying illegal immigrants from the Mexican boarder all over the US and dropping them off on the taxpayer dime but are charging US citizens for the privilege of being evacuated from a situation the government created??????????

I decided to dig a little deeper and as happens so often when you do, you find things that paint a different picture......Those US citizens who find themselves trapped and in danger in Afghanistan now and those outraged by it need to keep in mind that choices do have consequences.....I find myself quite a bit less concerned about their plight and here is the reason. They are responsible for their choices. They were warned to get out April 27th in a state dept directive......and here it is.

This certainly doesnt absolve Biden for his POOR planning and still leaves the questions in my mind regarding whether he intentionally ignored the warnings he got about his decisions on purpose but it does mean those who are trapped bear a large part of the responsibility for it.

Well certainly no one has had to pay.....you dont pay on the spot dufas.....and of course now that the media let the cat out of the bag they are walking it back and saying no one will get a bill as the optics of that would look really bad and the optics already look REALLY bad lol
