Oh, this will help...

He called on “every State to require that all students stay in high school until they graduate or turn eighteen.

Rather than addressing broken families and why poor kids don’t care about learning, our president thinks he’ll solve this problem by turning our failing public schools into prisons.

He can't address the broken families...he's from one...no two...and he lived with grandparents. His example is just as broken. Forcing kids to stay in school..simply means the detention hour will be the most popular hour of the day.

Apparently after being destroyed by Romney is Florida, Newt didn't mention Romney in his concession speech AND did not call him privately to congratulate him.

What a miserable, classless sack the guy is. He deserves to lose and the Republican party deserves better.

How about Paul...or Santorum..did they congratulate Mitt? Did they not also get *destroyed*?

Were they not on planes already?

C-mon dude....Lighten.

Jobs Report: 2.9 Million Jobs Lost in Two Months

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Dave Snope said:

While people are caught up celebrating today's BLS report that the official unemployment rate went down from 8.5% to 8.3%, (including our own Rod Kaufman, who says Anybody in their right mind can see it's improving , I do feel bad about spoiling the fun.

I'll try to make this as simple as possible with step by step instructions because I have read in these threads that some of our members (like Richard Davis wink ) are quite slow on the uptake.

Please refer to the latest BLS report here:
http://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/empsit.pdf

Please open the report to Table B-1 (ctrl-f, type "Table B-1" in the search field, hit Enter key)

Refer to the top row of the chart, which is the total non-farm employment summary data.

See the Nov. 2011 total employment number. 133.172 million
See the Jan. 2012 total employment number. 130.263 million

Subtract January from November and get -2.908 million jobs. That's 2.9 million more people who have lost jobs since November.

Now look at the far right column. Your dear leaders at the BLS have adjusted that to a net increase of 243,000 jobs.

Like magic, the unemployment rate has gone down to 8.3%.

Call that good news if you want. It's your mind and your choice.

Well, it's good news if you are a federal employee because their employment is up slightly, so all is good in Washington. Which is funny, because they report on the news that they have shed jobs, but the table shows that they have increased federal jobs. It's an alternate reality, I guess.

Of course, this 8.3% doesn't include the 5 million or so additional people that have dropped out of the job market, meaning there are 159 million in the labor force, not 154 million that the BLS is using. So the real unemployment in January rose from 11.2% to 11.5%.

I see it now...Anigo Montoya..saying to Obama...*I donna think that word means what you think it means* (Recovery)(Employment)(Increase)(Stop)(Is)...etc

It's Europe's fault that Muslims are having a problem? How many countries are in Europe and it's each country's fault that Muslims over there are feeling victimized? Excuse me but is someone stopping them from leaving?

As long as they project themselves as the victims...they will gain support and power. Destroying their victims.

I beg to differ Rod. According to Herb it is to be a *Religion discussion* free forum. I'm here and God is with me..so that kinda negates your thread title.

I will always discuss politics from my particular religious viewpoint..though I will respect the forums rule not to discuss that particular view point.

See...life is so good when we understand one another.

Interpol Arrests Journalist for Muhammed Tweet

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Dave Snope said:

Looks like he'll get the death penalty for what, to outside ears, appears to be a mild declaration of lack of faith.

The Guardian reports:

Interpol has been accused of abusing its powers after Saudi Arabia used the organisation's red notice system to get a journalist arrested in Malaysia for insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
Police in Kuala Lumpur said Hamza Kashgari, 23, was detained at the airport "following a request made to us by Interpol" the international police cooperation agency, on behalf of the Saudi authorities.

Kashgari, a newspaper columnist, fled Saudi Arabia after posting a tweet on the prophet's birthday that sparked more than 30,000 responses and several death threats. The posting, which was later deleted, read: "I have loved things about you and I have hated things about you and there is a lot I don't understand about you … I will not pray for you."

More than 13,000 people joined a Facebook page titled "The Saudi People Demand the Execution of Hamza Kashgari".

Clerics in Saudi Arabia called for him to be charged with apostasy, a religious offence punishable by death. Reports suggest that the Malaysian authorities intend to return him to his native country.

The Argument For Access To Contraceptives

Iowahawk lays it out as only he can:

Everyone already has access to FREE contraception...DON'T HAVE SEX.

If you WANT to have sex..you GET to pay for added contraception.

What KIND of contraception......the kind that works MOST of the time.

If you want something, it is customary to PAY for it. If you want it for free...refer to the first free form available.

No body has a RIGHT to get anything free..cept maybe mommas love.
