It just occurred to me that I cannot think of one thing that Bush has done right, can you?

Quarters of Mass Hysteria

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

The Pentagon "intelligence" service has done it again. A while back there was a story about Canadian coins with secret radio transmitters hidden inside. As it turns out the coins were commemorative "Poppy quarters" which were a tribute to Canada's war dead. About 30 million were minted in 2004.

Pentagon "contractors" reported them as suspicious and a warning was issued. My question is: "What kind of idiots is the Pentagon hiring?" The coin stands out like a sore thumb with a red poppy flower that looks like a microphone right in the middle. Certainly a person of average intelligence should realize that anyone with the resources to embed a high tech transmitter in a coin would be smart enough to make it look like any other coin. These people in the Pentagon could probably find weapons of mass destruction and a million man army in Lichtenstein (population 34,247).

Jim Babcock said:

For a community to be whole and healthy, it must be based on people's love and concern for each other.

Millard Fuller

How true.

Some communities still are based on people's love and concern for each other. Sadly, it appears that larger communities and many nations are now run by people with love and concern for money, not people.

P.S. Did you switch parties? wink

George is an admitted alcholic so this picture is pretty disturbing. Notice the redness in the face.

Bush arms terrorists!

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

Here's another brilliant foreign policy move by the Bushies. After forcing democratic elections which put Hamas in power, our brilliant leader decided to arm Fatah terrorists!

"The $86 million plan, masterminded by Elliott Abrams of Iran-Contra fame, didn't work out as planned." Here is a little more about the mastermind about the plan, Elliott Abrams - honest as the picosecond is long.

Is this man a traitor?

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

Abrams is the author of several books on foreign policy and related subjects, including Undue Process,Security and Sacrifice, and the controversial Faith or Fear: How Jews Can Survive in a Christian America. In Faith or Fear, Abrams remarks “Outside the land of Israel, there can be no doubt that Jews, faithful to the covenant between God and Abraham, are to stand apart from the nation in which they live.” He says that this should not imply disloyalty to America or any other country where Jews live outside of Israel, but that Jews must be loyal to Israel because they “are in a permanent covenant with God and with the land of Israel and its people.”

How can someone who must "stand apart" from America be trusted to put America's interests first and foremost?

Abrams accompanied Condoleezza Rice as a primary advisor on her visits to the Middle East in late July 2006 in the course of discussions relating to the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict.

During Israel's attack on Lebanon there were rumors that this was a Pentagon plan for a "practice attack" prior to an attack on Iran. I wonder if Abrams had a part in it?

Very good news!

Despite Bush's blunders, moderates in Iran still have some clout. Before the Iraq fiasco, they were gaining ground rapidly, but threats of preemptive war against the Axis of Evil solidified the power of the hard liners in a wave of Iranian nationalism.

Rafsanjani to head key Iran cleric body

Former Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani was picked Tuesday to head a key clerical body empowered with choosing or dismissing the country's supreme leader, state media reported, in a vote seen as a setback for hard-liners in Iran's ruling establishment.

Analysts said Tuesday's vote showed that moderate conservatives were gaining ground in Iran, where there is growing discontent directed at ruling hard-liners over rising tensions with the West and a worsening economy.

Global warming is real and it is here to stay. Despite his many bad habits Al Gore certainly has done a lot more than George, our fearless "leader", to fight it.

Are you ready to switch to tofu, Jim?
