So then he's your version of Bernie Sanders. How did he plan to pay for all this??
Massive taxes I imagine. Yup, for the rich which they won't even notice missing...Is he also for outlawing coal industries in Canada? We don't do much with coal here anymore...
And why are people up there complaining about not having prescription drug coverage Dave? Because we don't have it........ and it is a necessity for everyone.
I thought your socialist medical system covered everybody fairly so why do you need the gov't to come in and take over. Gov't already runs the gov't health system...Our system is far from fully 'socialist'... Many things are not covered like drugs, dental, some optical.... Basic services are covered - no person here will ever go into massive debt because of cancer or years of palliative care , being in a terrible car crash or the like...
According to the video I watched, your healthcare system is in 'crisis' according to Singh and the NDP. I thought Socialized medicine took care of everything? The crisis is that the political party of the right under Scheer (recently resigned in scandal...)wants to move towards the American plan with privatization of as much as they can get away with.. Yes, there's indeed a crisis..
Can you explain? It sure seems odd that you're now pushing for "pharmacare for all". Why? Doesn't the great gov't healthcare system up there take care of ALL people? Isn't everyone 'equal' in your socialist land of wonder up there?? Yes, everyone is 'equal' if no one gets a service.... Prescription drugs are not currently a part of our health benefits. But they should be... That's what Singh is going for.
It appears that he wants to give "Dental care for all" up there as well. Same thing here. Not currently covered, should be, according to Singh (and me)...
Are you for that? Who will pay? Everyone. The Wealthy will pay more....
It appears that the New Democrat party up there is all about Identity Politics, the same way that the leftists here pander to each group trying to divide everyone into their little cliques. Good thing the neo-cons never do that LOL...
Its apparently the rich against the poor, the class warfare bit that we get down here from Socialists like Sanders and Warren. Rich-poor gaps have never been greater in both of our countries. Trickle-down has never worked anywhere. When the uber-wealthy get tax breaks they keep the money.
Maybe people see through your frauds up there as we're finally beginning to down here.
Tell me something, how "rich" is Jagmeet Singh? Does he have several houses around Canada? Don't know, don't care. My guess is that leaders of all Federal parties, both in Canada and the USA, are waaaay better off than a retired teacher or a fine cabinet-maker... Not an issue.
It appears that he and the NDP use the same old tired cliches that are used down here by our leftist politicians.
"Make the rich pay their fair share", "healthcare for all", "fight the climate change crisis by making big polluters pay". You write these words like there is something fundamentally wrong with these concepts. Doesn't it bother you that "60 profitable Fortune 500 companies paid no taxes on a total of $79 billion of profits earned in 2018"? Shouldn't everyone have affordable health care? Shouldn't big polluters pay big fines? Or should Amazon just rake in the profits while paying ZERO taxes? Or should my ex's sister lose the family farm to pay for her cancer treatments? Or should oil companies not be held accountable for spills?
When will leftists around the globe finally get a clue and realize that the left is simply blowing smoke up your collective asses?
My guess is never. As long as there are gullible fools to buy into their bullshit, it will never stop. LOL
My final response to how differently we view the world is to paraphrase a quote from the "raise the minimum wage" argument:
"Possibly the greatest achievement of the right is that people making $500 an hour have throughly convinced people making $30 an hour that people making $7.50 an hour are the problem" Talk about gullible.....
And so it goes....
