Ex-DeLay Aide Pleads Guilty in Conspiracy

This guy "is expected to cooperate in the investigation of Abramoff and members of Congress". This could get interesting.

Is it me or is there really an unprecedented number of criminal indictments coming out of Washington these days?

Does this worry you?

I don't think that the military has any business whatsoever doing domestic spying. I think it is just too dangerous to give the military all that power.

Pentagon expands domestic US spying

... the White House is now considering expanding a secret Pentagon security agency into one which could investigate a range of domestic crimes, for which the government has used the FBI in the past.

The little-known Counterintelligence Field Activity has a secret budget but is believed to already have 1,000 people on its staff, the paper said.

A recent high-level presidential commission "urged that CIFA be given authority to carry out domestic criminal investigations and clandestine operations against potential threats inside the United States," the Post said.

Patrick no longer has the luxury of trolling. The title was over the line. As I recall it called libs idiots. I deleted the whole thread.

Nils,

Do you really want to associate yourself with this tasteless link. If the left can't do better than that, I may convert to a Republican myself (in the next life). :S

ON Edit: The title of this post is exactly what Patrick posted and I deleted.

If you see a troll like this from Patrick, do not bother to respond. It will not be there long and neither will be Patrick. He has been warned repeatedly both privately and publicly not to use these inflammatory titles. He evidently does not get it. He now has exactly ZERO chances to make this mistake again before his account will be terminated. Anyone on the (left of right) who does the same will be warned and will have their accounts deleted if they persist.

For Frist Charity Begins at Home

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

It looks like Frist is in more trouble for his financial dealings.

Frist AIDS Charity Paid Consultants

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's AIDS charity paid nearly a half-million dollars in consulting fees to members of his political inner circle, according to tax returns providing the first financial accounting of the presidential hopeful's nonprofit.

Re: Jury Selection Begins in Enron Trial

The Bush Administration continues to prosecute business leaders who fixed the books during the Clinton Administration. Clinton did the wink and nod to these guys saying "it's the economy stupid" and now they are headed for prison. Thank God President Bush was elected to clean up the mess left by Slick. wink

It is amazing that many libs even today speak of the corrupt Clinton years as a model. Do we really want another economy based on a false tech bubble and businesses run by crooks? Even if libs would want the lies again, we will never again have the one time Y2K expenditures that trickled down through the economy.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,183153,00.html
Do you honestly think that those crooks at Enron would have been prosecuted if their scheme didn't collapse. I don't. The Bush administration had to have its arm twisted badly by the press before they acted at all on the energy price fixing in California. The real difference between Clinton years and the Bush years is that under Bush crooks like Cheney run the government and they run it from behind closed doors. :S

Do you remember what happened to the courageous Pentagon analyst who found fraud in the Halliburton (Cheneyville) billings? Was she rewarded? No, Bush let her be crushed like a bug.

Speaking of the economy, I would prefer a "false tech bubble" to an economy based on a crooked war machine tuned to make the very rich, richer and funded by deficit spending. It's typical Bush Republican "thinking": Who cares about the future as long I get my profits and my tax cuts now.

As usual, your trolls are just POPPYCOCK. One would hope that you could put your intellect to better use unless it's so limited that you cannot do better than this childish trash.

It Does Not Seem Right !!!

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

I'm leaving California for New Mexico and it's none too soon. On the way to work today I saw a full sized Hummer with a HANDICAPPED STICKER. It just doesn't seem right. How handicapped can you be if you can climb into and drive one of those beasts? If you are handicapped and keel over while driving whose family are you going to run over with that monster?

Perhaps it was issued to a physically fit driver who was environmentally handicapped.
