I was actually nice to him...

Posted By Mike Strieber

I sat next to Chris Matthews on my flight home last night. It took all my power and restraint to not go "Olbermann" on him. I told him he has a great show! 8O

BTW, I could see the tingle in his leg, it's true, Obama does that to him.

MSNBC

Posted By Mike Strieber

Don't know if any of you had an opportunity to watch MSNBC last night after Obama's words. To me it was the epitome of irony. All three of the line up (Olbermann, Maddow, then O'Donnel) praised Obama for his call to not politicize the events in Tucson, right after all three led their shows with the story that Boehner wasn't there but at a "cocktail party". On a night like this, within moments of the president asking them to not do it, they politicized even the memorial service.

I also found it interesting that all three asked all their guests, as if it was gospel, if "Palin" understands the message the President is saying to her. That wasn't my first thought when I heard him speak to that issue. To me he was alienating his base once again, because that's who he was speaking to. It never even crossed these three minds that he was talking to anyone else but Palin. It is just second nature to them to use any moment available to them to attack Palin. MSNBC's pure existence is based on attacking Fox News and Sarah Palin. They don't even bother with "news" anymore, they have completely abandoned the notion providing real news.

I must say I was dumbfounded watching these three spin this entire affair to a political advantage while they spoke of how shameful it is that people spin this to a political advantage. And people rag on Fox? Really?

I also sat their wondering if the three other people tuned into MSNBC at that moment felt the same way I did.

How far is the left/media going to push it?

Until Palin is shot dead as well?
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/01/13/palin-targeted-tweets-following-arizona-shooting-massacre/

Palin's link to the Arizona shooting is fabricated. The media's (specifically MSNBC) link to any potential harm brought to Palin will be a confirmed association.

Once again, the left at its best. Blame the right for inciting violence as they incite violence against the right. The left has descended to a new depth of low since the Arizona shooting.

Reassuring news: Obama never talked to half a dozen members of his cabinet

http://www.ihatethemedia.com/obama-never-talked-to-half-a-dozen-members-of-his-cabinet

Obama didn't speak to six of his cabinet members for the fist two years of his presidency. Tell me he isn't in way over his head with this job. The SOTU last night proved just how out of touch he is with the rest of America.

Republicans breaking promises again...

They're still not concentrating on jobs and the economy. They're wasting time, taxpayer dollars, and racing to lose voters as fast as they possibly can. They've done nothing but showboat since taking the House and they'll pay the price in 2012. From healthcare repeal going absolutely nowhere, anchor baby legislation, abortion legislation, etc. Now we get this...

"Bill would require all S.D. citizens to buy a gun"

Voters were bamboozled once again last November.

Feeding the lunatics...

...while rewriting history, in about the most vile form imaginable. The left cries out for civility yet continues to propagate a grotesquely spun and perverted revision of history for those so inclined to soak it up. This is how the left celebrates the 100th birthday of Ronald Reagan, a president who consistently ranks within the top 5 of best presidents of all time in polls. I didn't know Reagan was a racist, a criminal, an idiot, a liar, was responsible for the OKC bombing, and was brain dead while in office.

Reagan's Toxic Legacy
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2011/2/7/941769/-Reagans-Toxic-Legacy

"First elected Governor on a muted inclination to shoot student demonstrators, Reagan spent his political life as an apostle of reaction, repression and recklessness."

"Tear down this wall" was as hubristic as if Gorbachev had told Reagan to stop imprisoning so many black people."

"Nixon knew what the truth was and didn't care; whereas Reagan neither knew nor cared."

"Reagan craved credit for winning the Cold War though his major achievement was that he was standing around when the peoples of Eastern Europe, for reasons of their own, chose economic and political change."

"His overexpenditure on space warfare gadgetry fleeced a generation of American schoolchildren of adequate disbursements."

"His contempt for the American government is the direct ancestor of Timothy McVeigh's, though Reagan's damage hit all American urban areas, not just Oklahoma City."

"His anti-tax ideology apparently sprang from resentment over owing taxes on the vast sums he was paid for a series of B movies during WWII..."

Here's some great comments from posters to go along with the article:

"That braindead piss ant"

"I hope he's burning in hell"

"Perhaps it is just that the combination of long-term alcoholism and drug abuse with a not overcurious intellect is just no match for real Alzheimer's-induced fantasies."

This comes from the same place that is frequently quoted as calling for the death of Cheney, Bush, etc. Someone please show me the equivilency on the right. I'm serious, I would like to see where this sort of stuff can be found coming from the other side. Don't give me Limbaugh, Beck, and Hannity, I'm no fan of any of those guys but they aren't saying this kind of crap.

While you're at it, speak up if you believe this assessment of Reagan is accurate.
