Georgia Re-elects The Village Idiot

Shame on, "we the people."

We had no way to know a small number of smart people could set this up for their benefit.  A lot of the entrenched politicians get away with a form of insider trading and make millions. And they have even convinced their supporters to scream at you for saying this!

Yep, a lot of extremists. Abortion to time of delivery. Some actually are against cheap fossil fuels. And people do think those on the left will give us more expensive gas. When Obama said energy by necessity will go up, people remember that. It is believed and will cost Dems big in Nov. Millions will not support Dems because they think they will have fewer gun rights. There are more I could name with a little thought that voters believe are "extreme" enough to sway votes. True or not this will cause Nov. to be one of the worst for Dems.
How many Dems really believe, "Ah, it won't be that much different?" Something less than half, I'm thinking.

Another vote killer is a worsening Biden. People were annoyed with, "two scoops!"
Biden will say more and more dumb statements his staff will need to walk back, statements that can affect international relations with any bad luck, at all.

This could be more evidence the specific gun is not the reason.
He had a rifle and a handgun!
We all agree these shooters are lacking something the rest of us have.
Anybody that will kill small children will not be stopped by not being able to use his favorite gun!
"Well, I wanted to kill 20 children tonight but I could not find an AR.-15! I do have this handgun and this hunting rifle. The pistol ammo is lighter so I grabbed a hundred rounds of it."
THE DECISION TO KILL 20 CHILDREN IS OF SO MUCH MORE MAGNITUDE
THAN THE CHOICE OF WEAPON-WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS THINKING??????!!!!!!

I have heard educated people argue for that right.

I have thought it is possible there are 300 million guns in the country. For the sake of argument we could say 200 million.
Do we really want to argue a person will decide not to kill 20 people tonight because his favorite gun is not handy?
Most people have more than one gun he can get to. If he has been very poor (some solid, well built used guns are available for as little as $150, even less from a friend) a relative or friend might let him use one they own.
Making certain guns unavailable is not going to make the difference some believe. Killing and butchering people is what is driving these sick people! They are not telling themselves, "I did that with a Colt! The world will see I used a Colt." Or the previous shooter used either a 233 or .556. Well, if he wanted to impress his type of people, semi rifles are commonly sold with a 308 barrel. That would have shown a ball of fire and been heard for most of a mile. Although a common hunting round I can't recall one being used in a multiple shooting.
I gotta think these sickos want to hurt and shock and destroy the lives of as many people as they can. That does not depend on which brand and type of the many guns of similar capability is used.

No waiting period, no cooling off period, grab and go...
But remember, some states, according to the cons on the AM, say it's illegal to use to shoot deer. Just perfectly fine for killing humans for "home defense"....

Why can't you have your views and also be factual? Not possible? Is it necessary to lie if one holds your views?
A network (MSNBC) lady said nobody could shoot Bambi (her words) with an AR because there would be nothing left of the deer! Errors like this need to be corrected. It is also a fact an AR is on the lower end of rifles suitable to take deer.  Some states do not want hunters to use it. It seems you would rather let her statement stand. Network newscasters can influence opinion.

I won't let it go??
Like a former Pres said, "There you go again."
Did you forget we dropped it for a day or two?? But you just now brought it back so I responded. You just couldn't resist what you thought was a dig??

And wounds are what good hunters want so much to avoid. I don't hunt but I grew up where everybody did.
If you don't want network newscasters to say completely wrong things (Not splitting hairs! At all!) you should be glad I pointed out she missed this by a mile!

"There would be nothing left of the deer!"

If there had been a waiting period or background check when buying the rifle maybe he could have cooled off before committing his vendetta against the poor doctors and their staff.

Maybe the folks who cut off funding for the mentally ill should have thought about the possible consequences of their actions. A few crazy bad apples make the whole bunch of gun owners look bad when it comes to the AR-15 assault style weapons of war that gun shop owners will be happy to sell you on your 18th birthday.
Before Reagan was sworn in as gov of CA the CA Congress passed legislation forcing Reagan to get people out of the institutions. It was considered the enlightened thing to do and was sweeping the nation. I was still liberal enough to think that it might be a great move. It was not. Too many just lived on the street.

Jim, the broadcaster I was correcting thought if somebody shot a deer with an AR there would be nothing left of the deer!
