Home Built Solar Scope

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Indeed it has been built and it can be found on my Yahoo forum *Homemade refractors* Links are also available. Dave has commented on it as well and posted links.

This seems like the correct forum to ask.
Does anyone here know if the solar Ha scope described
on Dave Groski's Solar Page has been built by an
Astromart member?
The correct filters are still available from the source
mentioned on his webpage.

More Teleprompter in Chief

BHO uses teleprompter to preside over a 12 member Middle Class Task Force committee meeting!!!

Possibly even more ridiculous than the Teleprompter in Chief visiting the grade-school classroom--

Definitely the smartest president ever!

Because he is souless....imaginationless...and lacks personability. I bet he has a teleprompter in the Wh dinning roomwhen sitting round having dinner with the family) and in his bedroom.

Law curbs McDonald's Happy Meal toys

How could anyone live in such a place? Regardless of what you think about nutrition, and Happy Meals specifically, do you really want the government dictating what you should eat or how to raise your children? Do you want your government creating laws that say you can't give a toy away with a meal? Is that how they should be spending their time? Is this how the people of SF want to live? Every step of their lives dictated to them? Are they brain-dead to the point they need a helicopter government hovering over them everyday, making sure they are making the "right" decisions? Are they uber-lazy people and just don't want to have to make choices and feel the govenment should be doing that for them?

I'm from California but I just don't get how we can have such a place so alien from the rest of the country. What happened in SF? What happened to bring all these sorts of people to this one place in our country?

I know I asked a bunch of rhetorical questions but it truly does boggle my mind what goes on in California, and more specifically SF. Probably the most beautiful state with the most to offer in the country, yet the most unusual people habitate it. Of course I understand not all the people there are like that but most are, thus you have the trends in California you do. If these sorts of people were in a minority there you would see California self-destruct before our very eyes.

Apparently old Keithy just couldn't help himself: $2,400 each to the campaigns of Democratic Congress-critters in Arizona (2) and Senate candidate in Kentucky...

one of them right after they were his guest!

The REAL reason he's suspended without pay? He got CAUGHT, and this is too much confirmation of the built-in bias at MSNBC for even their management.

What a LOSER.

8" f/15 under construction.....

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Greg..have you made the baffles themselves yet?
When I made the baffle system for my 10"f/15..I used 3 half round finishing trip strips 12ft long and I used 5 wood stove chimney wall flanges as the baffles themselves.

Your use of arrow shafts is a good one...I considered it myself..but I needed edge venting of the baffles so my 12" tube could vent past the baffles.

Good luck and post images as you go if you can.

Preamble being rewritten???

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

I just saw a show on this on Fox......The book this is found in uses the cover of education and on Page 40 of the *Building Fluancy..through Practice and Performance** text it lays out the preamble in a socialitic format. The soviet constitution provided for all these socialitic needs...but this garbage is being taught as our constitution.

Contact your school district and if this is being taught there..get this evil book banned.

Under the guise of teaching children to read, the seeds of Socialism are being planted within the minds of young children. Do you believe that the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States mandates the following?;

The People’s basic needs must be met in a country. Needs for housing, education, transportation, and health care overseen by our government system.

Fareed on the Quran Burning

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

Rod..they kill in the name of Allah...not religion...and it is written in the Quran to do so..that is why you don't hear a word on the subject from the muslim world.

You could burn a tracktor trailor full of Bibles and not one Christian will call for the perpetrators death...why do you think that is...Rod

Rod Kaufman said:

Well, at least he got this one right:
"Many Muslim leaders...condemn the burning of the Quran." "That's appropriate." "But so is killing in reaction to that burning." "And this is where there is still far too much silence in the Muslim world." "Why are they silent about the murder of innocents in the name of religion?"
"This is the perfect moment for them to stand for a modern, moderate Islam than condemns the burning of the book but also the killing of humans."
http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/03/fareeds-take-quran-firestorm/
Er, ah, anybody heard of any condemnation from the Muslim world of the killing of the innocents thus far?...

What's he hiding?

Posted By Rob Wiederrich

He's hiding something and fears its knowledge will ruin him. Plainly.

Doug Matulis said:

Simple question, why would Obama as a candidate, president elect, and now president, why is he spending millions of dollars, over all this time period, to hide his school records and his official birth certificate? Other candidates and presidents have freely offered these records, the birth certificate being the constitutionally required document, why the millions of dollars?
