Do you think walls work?

Walls, or barriers, or even beaded curtains, make sense in some places. In other areas, they do not, and what makes more sense is to have deterrents and monitoring. Some areas are so remote and unpopulated having a wall, or any obstacle makes no sense. Other regions have topography and terrain that are entirely incompatible with a border wall. These simple truths are why it is so ludicrous for Trump to choose to die on this political hill. The whole, "We need wall. I would ask for wall." narrative made famous by Kirstjen Nielsen is ridiculously over-simplified.

You must have missed, as usual, where I said, and I quote, "Walls, or barriers, or even beaded curtains, make sense in some places."

You have serious reading comprehension problems, Richard. Maybe you should slow down in your haste to bludgeon and smear everyone else, and read what they said.

No, Mexico isn't paying for border wall through USMCA trade deal, despite Donald Trump's claims

The question here is: Is Mexico paying for the wall through a renegotiated trade deal, as Trump claimed?

No, trade experts say.

Or Trump for that matter, which is surprising since according to himself, he is an expert on *everything* under the sun.

"I know more about drones than anybody," Trump said.

It's pretty hilarious when you look at this exhaustive list of what Trump has declared himself to be an expert on which is for all practical matters limitless.

If anyone in your life claimed time and time again, to be the sole expert in the world about every subject that arose, you would dismiss them as an insecure person making up for the insecurities with awkward and uncomfortable blustering and boasting. Trump has done this enough, that it's clear it is yet another one of his major character flaws. He thinks that by declaring himself an expert on the subject matter, that somehow that declaration alone lends credibility to his arguments. This whole thing would be laughable if it weren't so sad that the POTUS is not only this insecure but also incapable of making any coherent case for his agenda other than, "I'm the expert. Therefore, I'm right."

Wasn't ISIS already destroyed? It looks like the "expert" on ISIS was wrong after all. Oh well, at least he's still the expert on everything else.

This same old tired argument of yours is not a valid defense of Trump's behavior. Most of us learned in kindergarten that just because someone else did it, didn't make it right.

Texas removes Confederate plaque from State Capitol

Posted By James Lacey

This plaque, erected in 1959, is not historical, other than it is a vestige of the opposition to the Civil Rights movement.

It entirely inaccurately states "the War between the States was not a rebellion, nor was its underlying cause to sustain slavery."

I'm sure this will now lay to rest the historically inaccurate canard that the Civil War was about State's rights and not slavery.

The Texas Preservation board voted unanimously to remove the plaque, and the board includes Governor Greg Abbot (R) and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick (R).

Right. This is just old news. Everyone knows that the POTUS being the subject of a counter-intelligence investigation by the FBI is entirely normal, or the only reason for it is because the deep-state is out to get him. It boggles the mind to think that *anyone* could still be supporting this incompetent fraud who does little more than spout nonsense and lies.
