Moon crescent

Well no HR image, but still I like such moods it was very guiet,

I took this shot with my 4" F5 achromat and a Toshiba digital camera behind a 25 mm Plossl on a field-tripod. The camera is 5 years old but for such shots it is sufficient, although the noise level is not up to par nowadays
best regards Jan

Jupiter 11 april (prob. my best)

Posted By Jan Adelaar

Hi fellow observers,
It did take almost a year before some good seeing returned to my lowland country to image Jupiter. It was nice to see that some detail came out now and just with the red spot returning away and Io close to limb of the planet
best regards Jan Adelaar

normally I have to capture 15 fps to get at least some usable frames, now I could collect at 5 fps with the good old plain ToUcam

Jupiter through a 16"

Posted By Jan Adelaar

Hi all,
Tried for the first time imaging through our 16 "Newton which came back from southern France, it was build up again by a member of our public observatory. The mirror is capable of showing stunning views of the deepsky but on the planets we didn't know for sure. So last night was a night with fair conditions. regretly Jupiter didn't came loose from a rooftop nearby with the planet at 30 degrees but I am satisfied with the result so far

Hi all,
It has been a while I posted an image to this forum, but here a capture of this morning, with only 4 minutes the seeing steadied after that the clouds rolled in, thanks for looking

outstanding imagedetail so early Damian!
best regards Jan

for reliable color rendition maybe a (recent!!) Mars image from Hubble can work as a standard? maybe calibration on a real color chart works also

daylight Mars 13th august

Posted By Jan Adelaar

Hi all,
just back from a tropical vacation in southern France and back in depression weather with now and then a clearing and a jetstream never far of. Tried the new filterwheel from atik but regretly only a fringekiller and a ir-pass in place. Seeing was only fair and the ir image wasn't noticeable better as the color frames.
stacked 1600 frames
thanks for looking
best regards Jan
