I've used many scope for imaging ( for better or worse ) and feel the Pentax 125 SDP is certainly among the BEST I've ever used, I've had several pix published in Sky & Tel mag and website most all of which were with this Pentax.... with it's dedicated large format reducer it provides an 88mm image circle at focal plane... MORE than enough for the next gen CCD cams at 50+ megapixel
The only "issue" I've had was a way to motorize the focuser to use automated focus routine, though manually I can do it perfectly fine...only taking ohh 15-20 minutes till I'm satisfied 8O 8O 8O

So....I figured out a way to "robo" the helical focuser, using quick release brackets and a 22" belt... VIOLLA..... now all I need is my CCD cam and some clear sky

what's the "big deal" between Coronado "pre meade" and meade ?
what's the pros & cons of complete solarmax scope vs filter kits for other scopes ?
Whats the diff between Lunt and Coronado ?

whats the diff between a .5 and a .7 ang I'd love to do some observing AND dslr solar imaging

any help out here would be moocho apprecionado

a SPDX & skysensor mounted on Gitzo CF tripod ( 55 lb capacity ) with Solarmax 60
dampening is LESS than 1 second ! gonna try out today with Solar 60 and SV 90 equpiied with SM 90/BF30

I was at the dealer getting oil change in my Z06, which holds 11 quarts of Mobil 1
YIKES...freakin oil change was $ 123.49 :S

Saw this Camaro and shot a few pix just because the retro "grabber orange" with SS badges REALLY are COOL... this one was an automatic with orange & black leather seats
OTHER than the automatic...it is a nice rid smile develping a wee bit over 400 HP

I'll take a bowtie ALL DAY LONG over a pony shocked
