These I believe are made by Guan Sheng and are being sold on e-bay and other places for $79...Joe O'Neil wrote that these are better than allot of Japanese barlows BUT wondered if anyone here has used one.

I see that Bill has listed a whole bunch of new stuff on the Burgess Yahoo group that he claims to be displaying at NEAF.It may be telling that there was absolutely no response to his annoucement...just dead silence.

Just got one of these from Owl Services in PA on the "other" auction site and had a quick look through it the other evening (marginal seeing). Someone else on this forum had recommended this barlow and I have to say that we were VERY impressed with both the optical quality and the fit and finish (on a par I think with William Optics diagonals). This barlow is bright with no vignetting (still testing this as I've had limited use) and seems to provide excellent contrast and sharpness. The biggest compliment you can pay a barlow is when you completely forget it's there...and...this one passed that test with flying colors.
Can't think of a better barlow at twice the price. Amazing value!

GSO 42mm 2 inch Superwide Eyepiece

There are a number of 2 inch 65 degree FOV, 5 element eyepieces in 30mm/42mm/50mm F.L. made by GSO (Guan Sheng) being offered on the "other" auction site...anyone have experience with the 42mm version.
I own the GSO 2 inch Barlow which is outstanding in every way (actually shockingly good regardless of price)...so I'm wondering if the eyepieces might be as solid a bargain.

Denkmeier "FMC" Coatings...Need Advice!

I have ordered a pair of Denk Standards and wondered if it would be worth it to "upgrade" to the FMC coatings that they are currently offering...being a newbie I'm not sure of the advantages and if it's worth an additional $100. PLEASE some advice!

"X" Switch At NEAF

I picked up a new Denkmeier FMC bino with a single arm "X" switch...Russ was showing the two arm version at the show and although I've not tried it out yet the finish and function are absolutely first rate...they offer the Star Sweeper in the one arm version requiring the 2X to be attached manually.
The "X" switch is a great accessory that is extremely well thought out and executed...don't leave home without one!

30mm Ultima vs 32mm Televue Plossl

I'm considering a pair of either one of these for my new Denk FMC as low power eyepieces on a C9.25...my next lowest power is a Leica 22mm 68 degree...does anyone have an opinion on either one of these, the Ultima vs TV Plossl.
