Slow Motion Flexible Cables

Anyone know where I can get some slow motion flex cables for an EQ-1 mount? I would like to replace/upgrade the ones that came with my Orion Mount. I prefer flex cables over the rigid shaft versions. Thanks, Luis

The best choice given your requirements and dislike of Dobs would be either a Celestron 8 inch SCT/XLT OTA or a 9.25 with the same. Your GM-8 will support both OTA's without problem. Good Luck, Luis

Touch up paint

Is there a suitable touch paint or wax for the TeleVue powder coat finishes? I just aquired a pearl white Genesis SDF w/ a couple mild scuffs. Should I attempt to restore the finish or just leave it alone? 98% of the finish is in like-new condition.

Mounting C8 to NexStar Mount

Anyone have any experience on mounting a C8 OTA to a NexStar Mount? "Rays Brackets" will not work with C8's. Celestron changed the mounting points with the N8 and N5 OTA's. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Luis

FYI: I currently own a N5i with Ray's Brackets installed.

TeleVue FocusMate or Feathertouch Micro?

I initially placed an order for the new TeleVue FocusMate but have since cancelled it. I read some mixed comments from people that attended NEAF. Any impressions out there? I am leaning heavily towards the Feathertouch Micro for TeleVue that is suppose to be available sometime mid-June for $229.50 according to Starlight Instruments. I want to upgrade my focuser to my Genesis SDF. Anyone have any first hand experience with the Micros?

Has anyone tried using the Orion SkyView Pro IntelliScope Upgrade Kit for their Vixen Super Polaris Mount? I was wondering if the Intelliscope kit was adaptable to the Vixen mount.
