As I'm getting down to the point of upgrading my equipment I have noticed on Tak's Japan website that the new EM-400 is coming out. Unable to translate I was wondering what the specs are on this new mount. Any details thru the sushiline?

Cleaning FS102

I personally think that the ASO cleaning method is about as comprehensive as you'll get. I cheated by substituting Baader 'Optical Wonder' fluid when cleaning the objective of my FS128 and was surprised at how easy and effective the whole process was.

Hello Markus,

I've been very interested to read about your various adventures with the Highlanders, and am seriously considering adding a pair to my collection as a result. This latest news seems to me to be very significant - something that I would imagine several people were waiting to hear - and I'm surprised that your message has not provoked more response.

Can you tell us more about the 'experiment' with the 4.7mm UWA's? How exactly did you modify them? Was it 'simply' a question of shortening the barrels - and, if so, by how much? Does the OD of the UWA barrels produce a good fit with the Kowa holders? What FOV do you get? Are there other UWA ep's that you think would work - and which particular Nagler T2's were recommended? Finally, how do you think that the view with the Kowas at this sort of magnification would compare with something like my Traveler and Zeiss bv's (my current travel set-up)?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts..!

Re: Half pier for EM-10?

Nice. Very nice.

The Traveler works well with an EM10 or 11 doesn't it? It's something of a 'natural match'.
