Digi-boatingPosted By Chris Nardone |
This was taken with the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1. It is only a 2 megapixel camera, but it has an image stabilized 12x optical zoom. Max zoom is 420mm (35mm equivelent). This picture is raw no editing at all, I had to resize it for this site to take it. It was taken at full zoom in sport mode.
I took it while fishing. Birds never seem to mind me getting a little closer on the boat than I would be able to on foot.

Identification HelpPosted By Chris Nardone |
What breed is it? Is it a Red-Tailed Hawk? I've seen this beauty 4 out of the last 7 days on the ride to work. Not a very good picture. I'll keep trying.

O.K. I know, pretty boring, but I thought it was a good shot. I'll spare you the Canadian Goose I got and just show the duck.

HummingbirdPosted By Chris Nardone |
Approximately a week after putting out the hummingbird bird feeder, three of them showed up. I was putting some steaks on the grill and they popped in out of no where. I scared them and they disappeared, so I set up a surveillance. They didn't come back and I got bored and left. Then, I was eating dinner and spotted this guy through the window. It was 420mm zoom through the window about 30 feet away.
