They have fostered and held together a tremendous Western coalition against Russia and reinvigorated and demonstrated the necessity of NATO and its relevance. Biden's actions have made Russia pay a heavy price without escalating the conflict to where boots on the ground are required. Honestly, it's hard to imagine any administration could have handled it better than it has gone so far.

Russia is not a rational actor. The problem with Russia today is that a strong man effectively runs it. If Politburo had been back, and there had been more internal discussion and differences of opinion, the war might never have happened.

He wanted out of NATO which would be a wet dream come true for Putin. He talked about pulling out of it because he didn't see the point and had to be talked down off that cliff multiple times. Trump worked overtime before his election and afterward to create cozy relationships with Putin and Kremlin officials. He kept the details of his many meetings with Putin a secret going so far as to seize notes from his interpreter. Even after his defeat in 2020 and during the Russian invasion, Trump called Putin a "genius" and "savvy" and praised him. Trump's first impeachment was because he pressured Zelensky to manufacture dirt on his political rival by withholding military aid to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression, which Congress had already approved. I'm sorry, but none of this lends credence to the idea that Trump would have handled it well.

YOU brought up the point that history would judge Trump and his administration on his response to the Russian invasion in Ukraine. A president, ex or otherwise, who cares about what history thinks doesn't go on Laura Ingraham or any other program and claim Russia invaded Ukraine "because of the rigged 2020 election"!

No,  they are not Mel. Fox news' Maria Bartiromo sent her questions for her Trump interview to Meadows in the WH for vetting to make sure she could carry the interview as planned. Nobody does that. Hannity clearly played a significant role in an adviser capacity to the Trump WH. Nobody does that. Fox news propagandists continually pushed the big lie of election fraud and Fox and several of 'em now have to face the music from Smartmatic and Dominion. Nobody does the scale of this kind of propaganda except for Putin's Russia...
