Here's an update:
"Authorities are asking anyone who drove by the range between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Friday -- who may have seen vehicles other than a white Ford dual-rear-wheel truck and a black Ford Expedition -- to contact them."
So it occurred in the late afternoon and not late at night when it might be more logical to think they might have let their guard down before leaving the range.

I think it's a safe bet that the victims were armed and or prepared. I'm wondering if there was a gunfight. It's an horrendous incident. One can only imagine what the killers plan to do with 40 or so weapons they stole after the murders. I hope they're not some crazed wingnut group planning some sort of political assault on somebody. Obviously, they have no concerns about murdering people.
