Obama's GrandmotherPosted By Rob Wiederrich |

From April of this year:
"President Barack Obama said his grandmother’s hip-replacement surgery during the final weeks of her life made him wonder whether expensive procedures for the terminally ill reflect a “sustainable model” for health care."
"[Obama said] you just get into some very difficult moral issues” [when considering whether] “to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill."
“That’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues,” [Obama] said in the April 14 [2009] interview. “The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health- care bill out here.” (Emphasis mine).

Okay, I'm going to be blunt. This makes me sick. It really makes me sick this liberal psycho-poop is coming from the President of the United States. It makes me sick a number of ways. First- doctors, nurses, assistants, nursing home workers, all these people have as part of their life's goal to make a terminally ill family member of yours as comfortable and pain-free as possible. You would want nothing less. Obama has just turned that on its head. Second, who the hell is Obama to start making decisions like this? If my father is terminally ill, and is in pain, and there's a proceedure to alleviate his pain, there is no "difficult moral issue" here in my mind. If it bothers Obama, that's his problem. Third, such a decision should be between the patient, the doctor(s), and the family member(s). Politicians should stay out of the family's medical business. Especially this President.

For Obama to say that deliberating to help your suffering family member is a *Great Moral issue*...clearly shows us he has NO true moral convictions. He himself has just described himself as having situational morals. What a bonehead!
