I think both parties will have new candidates next time. It doesn't seem like Harris has has politics in her blood either. Is she avoiding politics when she can?

Some Dems are ok with the bad guy getting shot but many are very upset he would get shot by a "cowboy" that should not have a gun in the first place. They say it is more likely innocent people could have been injured or even killed by this cowboy Clint Eastwood copy.
Next time innocent bystanders or even children will be killed or injured by the pretend cowboy!
The safest thing to do is do what the bad guy says to do. Got it? For instance,
What if your gun misfired?
What if you had sweaty hands and dropped your gun?
What if you forgot to load your gun?
What if you forgot to take the safety off?
If you mishandled your gun and he grabbed it and shot you in the legs and then your arms and you remained in a wheelchair the rest of your very miserable life.
Plus he had a lawyer that played the jury and he had a better "rest of life" than you did?
What if you were nervous and missed the bad guy?
Just because you watched a lot of tv, why do you think you could live with shooting somebody that close to you, blood and guts everywhere?
What if bad nightmares kept you from sleeping for a few months? Would you have bad performance and lose your job?
Could you forget his expression as you shot him just a couple of feet from you?  He fell heavily against you for a few minutes ruining the clothes you were forced to wear another hour at the police station.
Would his friends and relatives find you and make your life almost unlivable or actually unlivable? 
What if he had taken in his sick parents and his children, also sick, were hungry and being evicted from their house. You crippled him for life and you had $1,000 in your pocket and $300,000 in your bank plus over $600,000 in stocks and retirement funds.

There is a lot of room to be critical of our transportation dept. if they don't spend enough on the nuts and bolts of our huge needs in their area. How much construction will they get done?

Would they get more accomplished if they did not insist on prevailing wage? Those jobs pay good without prevailing wage in my experience. I know p. wage jobs that were paying $35 an hour. Is that necessary for ordinary const. jobs?

I can tell I have not been doing it for 20 years. In CA labor rate straight time is 52 per hour.  Overtime is 68.
Sunday and Holiday is 84 per hour.
It is reasonable to say they are WAY overpaying! This is for unskilled! Now my friends that are laborers do not think they are unskilled but when I was working they got full scale the first day they worked. Those of us in other trades usually took 4 years to work up to full scale from 40%.

Do you think prevailing wage is necessary? I might argue, "Hey, year around work is hard to find so I should make double when I do work?"
