Mars 11/10

Well it didn't start wonderful. It was cloudy before 9pm. This was due to tropical storm Tembin. The sky was clear by 9:30pm and conditions were great by 10:00!! Here's an image of the Sinus Sabaeus region with Syrtis Major on the left.

Mars 11/12 A Perfect Night

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello,

Conditions seemed hopeless tonight with clouds everywhere and the satellite images wasn't any better. But the cloud cleared at around 9:00pm!! Here's an RGB image of the Syrtis Major. Note the SPC which is still visible but is very tiny now!

ATTN DMK Owners!!

Posted By Christopher Go

It's been cloudy here in my end because of a slow moving typhoon close by. Last night I got an email from The Imaging Source and they just released IC Capture 2.0. This is a wonderful software because it now fully supports Y800 mode for the DMK monochrome cameras and plus an added bonus: ROI (Region of Interest) feature!!!

I can't wait for clear skies to try this out. V2.0 is a vast improvement from V1.1. It has better video controls with timers and even filename sequence function!

Chris

Hello Guys,

I'm planning to get a new set of RGB filter. Do you guys have a recommendation on what will be good for planetary imaging?
