Cal,
I bet that was a tough shot to get. How do you like your 10D? It seems like a lot of posts here are coming from D100's. I am probably a month or so away from taking the plunge.

Nice shot. Is that a VR? Did you hand hold?

335mm, f/4.6, 1/320 shutter, image stabilized. Very backlit! A bit of chromatic aberation/ halo.

Nice Pics Chris!

Thanks, I just got a new 10D and had to get out with it. I let my 13 year old son use my other digital camera. He commented several times that he couldn't believe how much fun it was.

Nice one. Color looks very accurate. Curious, why 360mm and not 400mm? Did it just work out that it framed better, or is the lens sharper that way? What ISO setting? I opted for the 10D because of less noise at faster ISO settings, but I am always impressed by your pictures. Makes me wonder...
By the way, you motivate me to get out there more often than I probably would.
Regards,
Chris

This one (300mm x 1.4 teleconverter)=420mm f/5.6 1/60. Shows motion. I like this one better. These birds are fun to watch.
