Parade Crash

The more liberal thinking people do not think we should have so many people in jails and prisons. The sad truth is we should have even more people in jails and prisons. This guy was a career criminal with arrests going back to 91. There are so many people that want to hurt people over and over again. They need to be kept separate from us. It does cost a fortune but these people cost society a fortune when they are not confined.

He had recently bailed out, $1,000, for trying to run down the mother of his children. A career criminal with a 50 page rap sheet, starting in 1991.
A prosecutor is saying, "Wait a minute, it is a long rap sheet but maybe he did the time for these charges."
Hardly reassuring.

Nobody is suggesting we do away with cars. Wait, or are they?

I do not make the correlation with cars that anti-gunners make.

What are you going to do with the money Biden is saving you?

Gas Prices Relief On The Way

Biden wants higher gas prices so it will be easier to argue for a transition. He doesn't want to pay the political price for those higher prices.
He could raise the gas tax if he could convince people their other taxes would be cut enough to make up the difference. Or they could be convinced "Build Back Better" will increase their wages enough to make up the difference.

I didn't say Biden said he wants higher gas taxes. That is something you think you've either heard or made up in your mind (that is the second time you have said that to me but isn't that the most common ways to get ideas?) The facts: If Biden does want an easier green transition, higher gas prices would make it easier. Most agree with this. It would be easier to accept these higher gas prices if people were convinced they were getting a reduction in other taxes at the same time. What if a reduction in income taxes saved them a couple of thousand a year? It would not be very difficult to come up with an idea that offsets a higher gas tax and he would be closer to the green transition he often mentions.

Oh, wait, I get it, Biden didn't say it, you said it.
Yes, I am saying to make the transition easier a president would need high gas prices. It would be difficult to pull off if gas was low.

You really think it would be safer if everyone was carrying a concealed weapon on the southside of Chicago? There would just be more dead.
Better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it.
A friend countered, "If gun laws don't help, why have laws against murder?"
