Napolitano: Terrorists Went To 'Great Lengths'...

Posted By Mike Strieber

Napolitano: "Friday's attempted terrorist attack against Northwest Flight 253 near Detroit is a powerful illustration that terrorists will go to great lengths to try to defeat the security measures..."

Sure they did Janet. Let's see, just how cunning were they?

-They use a young kid who bumbles his way through trying to detonate an explosive in his panties.
-They use a guy who has been denied a British visa.
-They use a guy on a US terrorist watch list.
-They use a guy whose father warned US intelligence services and the US Embassy about.
-The terrorist paid with cash.
-He bought a one-way ticket.
-He was on an overseas flight and had no checked luggage.

Clearly a very sophisticated attack, eh Janet? Planned no doubt by someone with inside knowledge of airport security procedures. My god this woman is clueless. What does it say for Obama who still has the utmost confidence in her?

BTW, Chuck Todd of NBC News suggested the other day that Janet Napolitano is on the top of Obama's list for the next opening in the Supreme Court.

At least one person on the left gets it...

Posted By Mike Strieber

All though he's a staunch liberal, I've always enjoyed Dr. Marc Lamont Hill's commentary. I don't always share his views but he articulates them well, isn't a flamer, and uses rationale as opposed to spin to get his point across. What you normally don't hear from him is criticism of Obama. Here are a few quotes from his appearance on Larry King Dead the other night...

"He's[Obama]absolutely overplayed his hand. He kind of came in arriving the -- riding the wave of his own awesomeness. ...The fact that he had done 110 interviews and 110 talks on health care and the American people weren't persuaded, it showed that people like him, but they didn't find his argument persuasive. It was almost as if he said if they just see my face one more time and listen to me one more time, they'll be convinced..."

"But what I do share is your pessimism. I -- I don't think -- I don't have much good news for 2010. I think that Barack Obama has expended so much political capital on health care and the health care bill that we've gotten is so -- all of the teeth have been taken out of it...."

"But what you'll also see is moderate Democrats continuing to scramble away from Barack Obama, because -- particularly because it's an election year. It's a midterm election year and people are not going to want to stand next to him as he loses more and more political capital, particularly around this issue of Cap-and-Trade. Cap-and-Trade is not going to go through,..."

"...And then in terms of foreign policy, I think we just may find ourselves with a major problem with Iran. Ahmadinejad seems to be committed to developing uranium. He seems committed to ignoring Sarkozy, Brown and Obama, no matter how tough they scowl their faces at the press conferences. It seems to me that we're going to have a major problem with Iran, that we're going to continue to have problems in Afghanistan, that we're going to continue to have major problems with Iraq. And -- and that we're going to have no good news."

"...And I -- I agreed with the health care initiative. But when you looked at the town hall meetings last summer, when you looked at what everyday American people -- at least a certain sector of American people were saying, it was almost as if Obama didn't understand that people didn't like him....That's the type of Obama mentality and the type of Rahm Emanuel mentality that I think has undermined Obama's effectiveness this year."

I'd have to say I agree with him on many of these points. Unfortunately for President Obama his lack of experience demands he rely on his advisors more than perhaps he should have to. That, combined with his uncanny ability to surround himself with extremely poor advisors and those of questionable character, has caused him to spend an inordinate amount of capital and fall so sharply in the polls in his first year. Not only has he expended vast amounts of capital, he has nothing of significance to show for it. As Hill suggests, he ignored the voices of opposition coming from "ordinary" citizens. Why would he do that? Because he listened to those very advisors who told him they were fringe, paid to disrupt town hall meetings, nothing but dumbass "teabaggers", etc. The far left (Moveon.org, Huffington Post, Olbermann, Rick Maddow, Sgt. Ed Shultz) is doing more damage to Barack Obama and to the Democrats prospects in the mid-terms than any of your "party of no" Republicans. The left keeps looking for the Obama boogeyman like "the Republicans", Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc., when the boogeyman is in their own closet. People are tiring quickly of the broken promises of openness, healthcare reform, fixing the economy, jobs, and Pelosi and Reid's lies. When Obama begins to lose people like Dr. Marc Lamont Hill he's in trouble.

Dem Party soon to be a thing of the past...

Posted By Mike Strieber

The Democratic party is for all practical purposes dead. They are in complete disarray with Senators quitting, incumbents way behind in the polls, the economy in ruin, national security a shambles, healthcare "reform" a joke, complete control in Washington and nothing to show for it, Obama’s approval ratings in the toilet, Chicago thugs running amok in the White House, party in-fighting, Keith Olbermann the de facto leader of the party...what a mess.

Now you've got Nancy Pelosi slamming the President:
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/31180.html
30 year Senators quitting with no chance of reelection:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/06/AR2010010600023_pf.html
Pelosi pretty much telling the American people to FO:
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/74389-pelosi-responds-to-c-span-there-has-never-been-a-more-open-process

Hmmm? Where have I heard something about a party being dead before?

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. How bad is it?

Finally...Hitler, the good side...

The man who has done more damage in history to "historical truth" is at it again. So now the people that thought "JFK", "W", and "The Doors" were documentaries get to fall in love with Hitler all over again.

Re: Is health care "reform" scaring away good doct

I just read this article entitled "Why Physicians Are Abandoning Medicare":

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2010/01/14/c-l-gray-medicare-doctors-deserting-obama/

This really makes me wonder what health care will be like when I'm older and more in need of medical services. Is the government going to foul up health care so much in the name of "reform" that the brightest of our nation's youth are scared away from entering the medical field?

Just watch how unethical the Democrats become if a Republican wins on Tuesday in Massachusetts. From secret quick votes to not seating the new Senator, who knows how low they'll stoop? Especially in light of how they are shoving healthcare "reform" down the throat of an American public that doesn't want their form of reform. The Dems have so much more to lose than a simple senate seat so I anticipate this Reid/Pelosi-led congressional mafia is going to get even more hideous and ugly than it has been. I believe an additional Republican senator is good for balance of power but I think the best thing that will come out of it is exposure; exposure of Reid and Pelosi and just how corrupt and unscrupulous they are. This could really put an exclamation point on the Dems outlook for the mid-terms. This Massachusetts race is extremely important. If the Republican wins in MA, the Democratic Party will in essence be a dead party, the party of "no", led by Keith Olbermann. grin

What's wrong with this picture?

Posted By Mike Strieber

Obama conceded $60 BILLION to unions today......and only $100 MILLION to Haiti. Guess what, you get to pay for both! If you're a middle-class non-union wage earner in the US you just got hosed....again. If the healthcare bill is so good why do the Democrats have to buy so many votes?

Coakley's loss will be Bush's fault...

Posted By Mike Strieber

You knew this was coming, now they're doing it preemptively.

"After Obama Rally, Dems Pin Blame On Bush"

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), spoke on behalf of Coakley, but unfortunately doesn't know her name, repeatedly calling her "Marcia" instead of "Martha".

Here are a few gems from Coakley supporters:
"But the problems came from the previous administration. So we're blaming poor Obama, who's working 36 hours a day ... to solve these problems that he inherited." Obama is apparently so devine he has now slowed the rotation of the earth so he can work more hours in a day being transparent, closing GITMO, creating jobs, and just giving more folks time to bask in his awesomeness. Oh yeah, and to do a little surfing and shoot some hoop. Considering he now has 57 states to fix, far more than any other president, he does need more time.

Kennedy: "If you don't, if you know that it takes eight years for George Bush and his cronies to put our country into this hole ... then you know we have a lot of digging to do, but some work needs to be done and this president's in the process of doing it and we need to get Marcia Coakley to help him to do that."

This is the topper...
Kennedy: "One thing the Democrats have done wrong? We haven't kept the focus on this disaster on the Republicans who brought it upon us. We've tried too hard to do that right thing, and that's to fix it, as opposed to spend more of our time and energy pointing the finger at who got us [here] in the first place." So according to Kennedy, enough Bush blaming hasn’t occurred, OMG what planet does this guy live on? Not only that, he believes blaming Bush more will get Democrats elected...and Dems wonder why Coakley lost a 35 point lead in the last two months? They wonder why they lost Virginia and NJ?

At least it's the “issues” they're are concerned over...this from another Coakley supporter referencing her opponent, Brown...
"I mean, he is handsome," Christine DiPitro, 61, of Malden, said of Brown."

So these are the folks the Dems "trucked" into and paid to be at the Coakley/Obama rally? I wonder if Coakley credited Obama for ridding Afghanistan of terrorists, after all, she did say there weren't anymore there.

Ed Schultz encourages voter fraud in MA....

Posted By Mike Strieber

And you guys rag on Rush Limbaugh? Clean your own house first.

SCHULTZ: "I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I'd try to vote 10 times. I don't know if they'd let me or not, but I'd try to. Yeah, that's right. I'd cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. 'Cause that's exactly what they are."

Olbermann and Maddow should be some top-shelf material tonight. I'll have my vomit bucket handy by the couch.

PETA: Replace Phil with robotic groundhog...

Posted By Mike Strieber

...I sh** you not.

"Give Phil a Holiday This Groundhog Day"
http://blog.peta.org/archives/2010/01/groundhog_day.php

These people do themselves a disservice when they promote an agenda such as this. No wonder they have such a poor reputation for an organization that in theory has an admirable cause. I feel confident in saying that any groundhog in the world would love to be in his shoes (paws). Fed well, no hunting for food, kept warm and cozy, no roadkill phobia, and no fear of the right-wing-gun nut-religous fanatic with an assualt rifle and bazooka. wink Hell, I'd like his life myself, I'm sure he doesn't have a mortgage.
