What is it?

This landed on my boat the other day and sat there for about 10 minutes.
I am not sure what it is,kind of looks like a grasshopper.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cardinal in Ice Strom

Here is a picture i took on 12-4-07 of
a Cardinal on my feeder,during the freezing rain storm we had here.
Not as bad as other parts of the country.
We got lucky,the temp stayed above 32*

Snowy Owl

Caught this one today ( 12-26-07 ).
Not as good as another one I saw today,
I am sure he will post it soon.
Nikon D 200 camera,with a 400mm lens.
Taken early this a.m. like 7:10 a.m.
not a whole lot of light.
These are not common around here in Northern Il.
More like mid to upper Wi.
