Lumenera softwares

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello,

Just wondering what capture softwares can be used with the Lumenera other than Streampix. Will K3CCD Tools work with it? Have you guys tried the MaxIm DSLR.

Thanks,

Chris

Mars Oct 10 Taming the Beast!

Posted By Christopher Go

To say that using my C11 has been frustrating is an understatement! Collimation is very critical in this beast!! My Oct 8 image was really terrible that I was about to let the C11 go to the junkyard. Anyway, I gave the beast one last chance. This time I collimated with a live feed of Mars. Voila, the image is much better now. Still not perfect but I think a little more tweaking should fix the problem! Comments Please!

Mars with New Camera

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello

Just got back from my trip to the USA and came home with a new camera. This is a DMK21BF04. Here's a preliminary red image of Chryse Region with a dust storm? I used a C11 and a Homeyer motorized filter wheel. Comments please.

Will post colored images later.

Chris

Mars 11.04 @30fps

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello,

While imaging last night with my new cam, I was testing the image quality of different frame rates. The image I posted earlier was done using 15fps. This image was done with the cam runnig at 30fps uncompressed! I was over 1,600+frames/channel for a 1 minute run for each channel!!

Is this better than the 15fps?

Chris

Mars 11/05

Posted By Christopher Go

Here's my second try on Mars with the DMK Camera. Note the bright outflow at the equator between Sinus Sabaeus and Mare Erythraeum. My R and G channels are now rightly exposed while I still have to work on the B channel which is very grainy.

Chris
