I have not voted for Trump. You said I was a Trump voter and repeated your message. You were wrong twice.

Definitely a point worth making. The same could be said about recent immigrants, when they start voting for Republicans, against conventional wisdom. If VA proves anything, it proves that the political climate and the politicians themselves matter a lot more than expanded voting opportunities. Biden is indisputably and predictably a drag on the D party right now, and by all accounts, McAuliffe ran an uninspired campaign terminating in an incredibly stupid series of comments about education. If I were a D in VA I'd have voted against him too.
As a moderately interesting aside, I think it about time that the "derangement syndrome" taunt be retired, as in William's short "TDS" post, as if that catchphrase meant anything, other than a polarizing taunt.
With respect to the use of "derange" in your reply, I understand that you are using rhetorical symmetry for effect, and it was nicely done. But at the end of the day, I bet you agree that the political operatives carrying Trump's bogus stolen election message are not deranged. Rather they are cold, calculating operatives seizing on a bogus message they think will resonate with enough people to make a difference. In my opinion, not unlike Russian collusion or other bogus messages, known to be bogus when delivered. Of course, the "other" side, is equally cold, calculating and deceptive when they inevitably argue that the original bogus messaging is an existential threat to the union. It seems the punditry and political operatives are always at Defcon 1 nowadays.
Some folks buy into these bogus messages and counter messages with gusto and perpetual outrage, I am pretty sure that most voters recognize the bogus messages as amped up politics only. I hope so anyway.
I'm rambling now, but did you know that political use of the {Name} derangement syndrome taunt probably originated back in '03 with Bush derangement syndrome? I remember Obama Derangement Syndrome, but did not remember it going back almost 20 years....
