Obama and Afghanistan...

Posted By Mike Strieber

While I'm not an Obama supporter, nor agree with his approach to Afghanistan, now that he's committing more soldiers to battle I wish them the best and hope for a swift and successful conclusion to this war. Do not hold back Mr. Obama, the time for kicking ass and taking names is upon us.

44% of Americans want Bush back...

Posted By Mike Strieber

"Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama's declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they'd rather have his predecessor."

Wow, what does that tell you about Obama? At this rate Bush could turn out to be the second worst president in American history in the eyes of many.

I have a feeling we'll see something similar at the next State of the Union address. wink

...the consistent message...

The President’s top economic advisor, Larry Summers...: “by spring employment growth will start turning positive....“everybody agrees that the recession is over,...”
http://blogs.abcnews.com/george/2009/12/summers-job-growth-by-spring.html

Asked by moderator David Gregory if the recession were over, [White House economic adviser Christina] Romer shot back: "Of course not. For the people on Main Street and throughout this country, they are still suffering, the unemployment rate is still 10 percent."

The state of our government...

Posted By Mike Strieber

I'm 53 years old and I don't recall a time in my life where I felt so disillusioned about the state of my government. It is truly in a state of dysfunction, a rudder-less ship without a captain. Obama just seems really clueless to me. He appears to be totally detached from what is taking place in this country. When he's talking healthcare the country is talking jobs. When he's talking climate change the country is talking Afghanistan. When he's talking spending the country is talking deficit. I have no idea what he's doing and I have little confidence he does either. Never mind the chaos we call congress. The senior leadership in this country from Obama to Pelosi and Reid are failing the American people miserably. I feel confident in saying I'm not alone with these thoughts, check out the polls. And it's not only conservatives; take a look at who is irate with Obama and irresponsible congress these days. My god, you've got staunch liberals calling for the healthcare bill to be killed. If something passes that they call healthcare reform it will be nothing more than new regulatory mandates on the insurance industry; it won’t look anything like “reform”. Not only that, you'll push 30 million new customers to the very people they claim are the enemy...insurance companies. What a shambles. It may be a bit premature, maybe not...but I have to think the mid-terms will be a blood bath for Democrats. When 65% of Americans think the country is going downhill there's a serious problem with how it's being led. I have to ask...is this the "change" you folks voted for? It appears to me a lot of people are getting buyer's remorse. And please, enough about what he “inherited”. You hired him to fix it, not to whine about it. Is he fixing things to your satisfaction? Really? I didn’t vote for Obama but I did have high hopes for him, little did I know it could get this bad.

Exclusive: Rep. Parker Griffith switches to GOP
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1209/30896.html

This is the best thing he said...

"Griffith told a local newspaper that he wouldn't vote for Nancy Pelosi to remain as House Speaker because she's too divisive. He joked that if she didn’t like it, he’d provide her with a gift certificate to a mental health center."

"Democrats Join Calls for Napolitano to Step Down Following Failed Attack"

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/01/01/democrats-join-calls-napolitano-step-following-failed-attack/

"Not only does her department oversee the Transportation Security Administration, but her initial claim Sunday that "the system worked" was widely ridiculed and interpreted by critics as a sign that she's in over her head."

Hey, wait a minute, I thought she was taken out of context. If Obama doesn't send her packing it will be just another example of his continual poor judgement....along with surf'n and sunbathing while all this is going on. How "Bush" of him.
