1st and foremost being *What exactly is the proposed endgame here?* *Exactly when do we resolve ourselves that it is just another reality we need to recognize and move on from?*
It certainly isnt going to just magically go away. *At what point do we accept that less than 1% of those who get it may die and accept that as just a reality along the lines of a certain percentage of folks die in car wrecks but we still drive cars?* *Do we just continue to cancel, postpone and reconsider or do we get on with our lives?*
I understand and accept that Covid can be deadly for SOME people and that this isnt likely to change, I also understand that shellfish and strawberries can be as well. What I am not willing to do is give up my free will and liberty so that others can assuage their irrational fears.
We need to either get busy living or get busy dying....but its high time to choose and get on with it.
Your posting indicates logic and reason.
According to the NIH director, whom I "
heard" on the television today (oops, time for the caped crusader to swoop in to call me out on my
conspiracy theory
), he indicated that it was a great idea for children to be masked up at school because of the Delta Variant.
My question to him, which the pundits on TV always fail to challenge these bureaucrats with, would be this simple one: "If we are masking children in schools everywhere to keep them from spreading a virus that is FAR less deadly (literally
magnitudes less deadly) to children than the Yearly flu is to those children, why aren't we masking up children from here on out, until the end of time, in order to make sure that children do not die of flu"?
It is an indisputable fact that every single year,
without fail many, many more children DIE from the regular Flu than have died or will ever die from any variant of the Corona virus. Over 800 children died of Pneumonia last year. According to the CDC, they won't put an exact number on it buy they say about 330 died from Corona Virus in 2020.
In fact Dr. Marty McCary of the Renowned Johns Hopkins university has written about the Delta Variant and its threat of death to children.
According to Dr. Marty McCary of the Renowned Johns Hopkins university, unless a child has a relevant Co-Morbidity that would put said child at risk, the odds of a school age child dying of Covid, the Delta variant is ZERO. Those are his words.
He has also stated that many individuals in the US (those like RK) have a distorted (warped and twisted) view of just how dangerous the latest variant of Covid is to all of us.

So then if that is the case, that school age children have always been
much more likely to die from the ordinary Flu, why should we not mask up all the children every year continuously and always in order to keep these children from dying from the flu?
I would hope that the Resident RINO here can swoop in on his cape and answer that simple question above.
That would be great!
