Who's The "Dirtbag"?!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., on Tuesday accused former special counsel Jack Smith of committing perjury when he denied attending a specific Atlanta Hawks basketball game in 2024 — to Smith’s apparent confusion."

"The attempted trick play happened during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Smith’s now-scuttled investigations into President Donald Trump. But it soon emerged that Schmitt had the wrong team."

"Smith complained it had been taken down too quickly and he hadn’t gotten to look at it. “I think you’ve already perjured yourself,” Schmitt told him, adding later that he’d go down in history as “a total dirtbag.”

"The next questioner was Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, who had checked the date of the game Smith referenced."

“We have confirmed that, in fact, you are right, Mr. Smith. Iowa, the Iowa Hawkeyes, played Maryland on February 3, 2024. The final score was 93 to 85. Iowa won, and Caitlin Clark scored over, scored 30 points,” and the game was in Maryland, she said."

"She also chided Schmitt for appearing to mix up the Hawks and the Hawkeyes."

"Despite the flub, Schmitt was praised for the exchange by some right wing commentators and outlets. Pro-Trump influencer Benny Johnson posted on X that Schmitt “CAUGHT Jack Smith perjuring himself” and “pulled out the receipts.” The post appeared to be taken down by the late afternoon."

"Schmitt later went on the Charlie Kirk Show, where one of the hosts praised him for the “great moment.” “Good for you on that,” host Andrew Kolvet said."

Appeals Court Finds Trump Colluded With IRS & Treasury

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"An appeals court Tuesday sided with a lower court judge who determined President Trump colluded with the Department of Justice (DOJ) in bringing and later dismissing a case seeking $10 billion in damages from the IRS."

"Florida-based U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams in July found that the lawsuit that served as the hook for the $1.776 billion “anti-weaponization” fund amounted to collusion as the two parties were never truly averse. She also sanctioned two Trump attorneys in the process."

"Williams’s ruling was particularly critical of Trump, noting that the president filed the suit years after the leak, when he had returned to office and had the power to fire everyone."

"Williams found that Trump’s $10 billion case against the IRS was “brought for an improper purpose — to gain the imprimatur of judicial legitimacy for a ‘settlement’ that had no viable basis in law or fact.”

The Republican Party has become the party of Vladimir Putin and Trump, and is now the party that has become pro Russia, pro Iran, anti Ukraine, and, yes, anti-American.

That and the fact that neither Putin or Zelinski had any idea, let alone an agreement, of Trump's so-called "energy-ceasefire"...Russia bombed Ukraine's energy sites immediately afterwards and Ukraine said it would respond in kind. So, the so-called "agreement" was something Trump created in his mind and nothing more.

That said, did you catch the snippets of Trump's new spokeswoman? A 24 year old bleached blonde "fur-sure fur-sure" valley girl who could only manage to awkwardly read a script in front of her and would only take questions from Faux, Breitbart and the Daily Mangle. My wife thinks they're trying to reach young MAGA men with her up there and perhaps some of the young aspiring blonde MAGA women influencers to emulate her...She does look better than, say, Kimberly Guilfoyle who just got axed as ambassador to Greece over her alleged grifting escapades but that's how the Trump orbits roll...

Meanwhile, at the latest Trump MAGA rally in Ohio:

"President Trump ridiculed a woman who protested his speech Monday at a political rally in Youngstown, Ohio, after the heckler was physically assaulted by a crowd member."

"The woman, who was wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt, was punched in the face by a crowd member at the event while rallygoers cheered on the assault with chants of “USA.”

"Police later intervened and removed her from the venue, while the man who punched her remained inside and exchanged high-fives with other attendees, according to Fox News."

"He also mocked the woman as she was being pulled out of the venue by police, calling her a “fat guy” and saying she “needs to go on a diet.”

Trump's new MAGA Momma spokeswoman, when asked where she passed her bar exam, said "it was when she moved to China!"
She's definitely not a California bar exam licensee and the WH didn't answer what bar she supposedly did pass.

Hmm, I wonder if the law firm Jim Brown worked in would hire a lawyer who, when asked where she passed their bar exam, answered "when I moved to China"?
Something tells me they wouldn't but the WH did...:'ermm

EVEN IF the polls underestimate the GOP Senate chances to HOLD the Senate, the Republicans STILL HOLD the Senate by the same 53-47 margin. Wow, that is what the Resident political analyst CNN Harry Enten said yesterday

Hey maybe the Socialist Democrats can run Hilary Clinton again which would Make Russ Carroll's day!!!  smile
What I saw on the CNN website is that his most likely scenario prediction is a 67% chance that the Dems take both the house and the senate. So, I don't know what the OP thinks he saw or heard but that's what I saw and heard...

Upon checking, that's what he predicted:
"CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said current polling suggests there’s a 67% chance Democrats will win both the House and Senate in the 2026 midterm elections."

"On the latest episode of “The Enten Scale,” released Sunday, Enten noted that the figure has jumped 15 percentage points in just two months."

Oh, and those are MSN videos
Lol! Those are reposted from other sources and are a "what if the polls are wrong" scenarios but that's NOT what Enten's prediction actually is which is the most likely scenario being a 67% probability that the Dems take the house and the senate.
Of course, all the farmers in the red states who want to continue to vote red and see red in their bank accounts may very well do so and that's one reason Enten is giving his estimated probability which really ought to be higher than it is...

Are you accusing the MSN website of doctoring those videos??

If not, then you statement there is MORE than irrelevant.
I'm not accusing MSN of "doctoring" anything and it's obvious these are snippets of what Enten said on CNN focused solely on a "what if" scenario of polls underpredicting GOP strength.  It's not all of what he said so it overlooks his actual prediction of his most likely scenario of a 67% that the Dems will take the house and the senate.
How obtuse can you be?

Therefore, his statement that the Dems have a 67% Chance of winning comes from What, a reasoned person would ask??

The answer is, that his statement that Dems have a 67% chance of winning comes from POLLING.  Harry Enten's OBSERVATIONS of the polls he was referring to caused him to State the FACTS of tha poll, which he accurately stated was Wrong 14 out of the last 16 times.

Don't worry, as I wouldn't expect your brain to understand the logical implication that Harry Enten put forth.  smile
