The word in Hebrew is 'tannanim' which been variously translated as sea monsters and whales. The word comes from the verb meaning "to stretch" and means 'long-stretched ones'. Probably applies to other large sea animals or reptiles such as the dolphin, shark and crocodile, besides what we actually call the whale.

Gibraltor mount with DSC

I added the TV Skytour system to the Telepod head on my Panoramic mount. Took about 10 minutes to install, no problems, works like a charm. I wasn't enthusiastic about the scroll/menu on the computer, but after using it a few times, it's acutally easier to use than the Autostar on my LX90.

I live in CT. The weather has been absolutely awful this whole winter. The few nights it's been clear, it's either been below zero and windy, or poor seeing. Checking the forecast for this coming week it looks like more of the same.

The fall was no surprise to the Lord. It was a necessary step in the progress of man, and provisions for a Savior had been made even before the fall had occurred. Jesus Christ came to atone for the fall of Adam and also for man’s individual sins.

Had Adam and Eve not chosen to transgress, they would have remained in an immortal and innocent state forever; mankind simply would not be.

The aggregate of the scriptures attest that his transgression (not sin) in the garden of Eden, although designated as a “fall,” was necessary to the advancement and spiritual progress of humanity on this earth, and Adam rightly should be honored, not denigrated.

We are held accountable to God for our own sins and not for Adam's transgression
