Achieving max resolution

Hi Roland,

Thanks for the valuable information - As a scientist myself, it's nice to see people like you and Richard providing actual experimental data. By the way, I took your advice for an image of M33 that I'm about to post, binned 1x1 for color channels as well. That being said, I have seen some great images taken with an NP-101 (by Bernhard Hubl for example) in which he bins 2x2 for color data. My ST-10XME is so sensitive that I really don't see the need to bin.

cheers,

Jeff

Hi Floyd,

Great data and nicely processed - I can't wait to see what you come up with when you really dial in that AT8RC.

cheers,

Jeff

Great shot Peter! Excellent detail. I am amazed that you guide so well when the focal length of your guide scope is no where near that of your imaging scope. Great work.

Jeff

Hi guys,

Thanks for your input. Unanimous so far and pretty much confirms the way I was leaning. These scopes don't come up often and it is even "local" (well within a 3 hour drive). My G11 actually tracks quite well (at least at 540mm FL) and hopefully will be up to the task.

cheers,

Jeff
