Not done working on this yet but here it is. I got a late start last night here's setting up the new 535 & scope. 6X6 min's L. & 4X6 min's R.G.B. of M101 ... QSI-535 camera, Tak MT-160 scope at F6.3, G11 Mount, and guided with PHD & a DSI pro2 all done in my 3/4 built observatory ( no roof yet )

Hi All; I have not posted in a long time so here’s one I shot last night.
This complex nebulosity (Sh2-101) is commonly known as the “Tulip Nebula”. It is located in Cygnus, about a couple of degrees southwest of NGC6888, the “Crescent Nebula”.
This area is strong in Ha and SII emissions, and is located about 2,000 light years away from us. Sh2-101 lies inside the Orion spiral arm of our galaxy, as does our own solar system.
The image is a stack of 8 x 8 min. exposures using a QSI-532 Camera, Vixen R200ss, G11mount and a 6Nm Astronomik Ha filter. Guiding was with and 80mm piggybacked on the R200 using a DSI ProII and PHD. Image was acquired and blooms removed with MaxIm, Calibration, aligning and stacking were done in AIP4WIN, that’s it.
A quick note about the QSI-532 … Man I love! this camera, the interface with MaxIm is so slick and clean you need to be careful and to slip and fall. It takes 5 clicks of the mouse and your off shooting a full set of LRGB, Open MaxIm (1), open camera window (2), connect the camera (3), turn on the cooler (4), and start shooting (5).
As I said I LOVE THIS CAMERA!!!

Hi all, here's an Image shot 2 weeks ago. It needs a lot more Ha time. to bring out the "fire works " but as it is I don't think it's to bad .... Please let me know what you all think.

NGC 6992 The eastern Veil Nebula taken 7/15/08. 8 X 8 minute exposures were captured through a 6nm Astronomik Hydrogen Alpha filter using a QSI-532 CCD camera and a Vexin R200ss F4 scope on a G11 mount, auto-guided via the program PHD and a Meade DSI Pro II CCD camera. Image acquisition was done in Maxim DL Post processing was performed in AIP4WIN and Adobe Photoshop CS2. Please let me know what you think.
